New 06 g ''Hello everybody!''

Recently got my 06 coupe. Lovin' it to say the least. Went from my '97 A4 to an 06 g? C'mon now...

Pretty basic-06 Automatic (los angeles traffic whaaaat!), Premium/Sport, no navi, sun roof, splash guards, lojack. Oh, and the trunk mat ( i think that adds hp right?)

anyway, here's some pics, no mods as of yet, just enjoying it stock. At some point will put some black/chrome lip 20's on it, but no engine stuff. Already put 1000 miles on it though! Craziness. Tint will go on later this week or next.

Some quick Q's (though important to me)

1. The manual says to first service it at 3500 miles...is there anything i should do before then? (oil change?)
2. What is the break in period on this car? And is that 'keep it below 3k? or keep it below or up to 4k?' (which? or any other details on the 'break in period?'
3. If i put on 20's , i know it will look better lowered a tad, but i have the 'sport' suspension, isn't that already a little lower? And it has the sideskirts that give the lower illusion, would that be good enough? I just don't want to waste the extra $$ for the sport suspension by dropping it again with aftermarket suspension...
4. Any engine mods that won't really need tweaking? (i.e. drop in filters, or the like...)

But that's it for now, see ya'll around L.A. if you're there.
Oh yeah, got it for $34,800 (before taxes/license) at South Bay Infiniti (terrible place to buy imo, but got the best deal). Insurance valued it at $39,800. Sweeet!

See ya'll around.

(oh, actually i did get one mod, the small bbq spoiler, see 1st pic)

Hey Chris,

1. A lot of people do an oil change right after break-in at 1,200 miles to get rid of the metal shavings in the break-in oil. It's for peace of mind more than anything, I would do it especially if you don't drive much so you don't have to wait all the way till 3,500 miles.
2. Keep it under 4K rpm for 1,200 miles.
3. 20's and no drop will look JACKED UP like you can't even imagine. There's no way around getting any type of aftermarket wheels (19 or 20") without the stock suspension looking like a 4x4. Springs for this car are cheap, good quality coilovers on the other hand...
4. You'll find out more than you'll ever need to know about K&N filters, pop-chargers, z-tubes, plenums, M-Revs, etc etc, just give it a couple of weeks

Congrats and have fun with her, good call on not getting the spoiler

I have 20's and also got the Tanabe NF210 springs. Really comfortable ride and close to stock feel on smoothness. It lowers it about 1-1.25" and looks clean. K&N drop in filter helps a bit too.... btw, if you get 20s, I suggest getting Falken Azenis ST-115 tires, they are very quiet.

Oil changes should be in the manual, but if you don't drive much, change it every 4-6 months, cuz oil still breaks down if it's just sittin' there.

Here's the Falkens, go to the tire section, then Luxury/VIP section:

Here's some pix of my ride with 20s and Tanabe NF210s, I also have aftermarket Impul side skirts, so it may look lower than stock sides:

Congrats on the ride!
