CarFax is completely clean. It shows 1 owner in California, for 3 years, 1 month. Its a 2003 with 1 owner, no mileage listed. It was first registered on 8/22/2003, so it has almost 1 year left on the warranty. Private owner (IOW, not a lease). Thats it.

 

It shows as 03?

2004 models were released in 2003 ... thats' why it shows up like that

ie. 2007 models are now showing up in '06

 

Yes, but its (carfax) based on the VIN, not the sales date. It may be that the seller thinks it's an '04 and the dealer ripped him off :-) There is a post around here somewhere that I think dissects the VIN number. Lok at your VIN and read the post and see. I don't know for sure, but I think that the number after the M is the model year.

ok I ran a carfax and it clearly says it was purchased in 2003 , but it is a 2004 model.
