So its been almost 2 months and I've finally recieved my plates. And as I was putting on the registration stickers for the month & year. It so happened that I RIPPED THE MONTH STICKER!! then I tried to fix it and make it seem like nothing happened. WELL.... now its crooked and you can see the outline on the plate where it shows you were the stick the stickers. Since I have minor OCD, and this will bug me forever, I'm going to pay the DMV for a new sticker. Hopefully it's possible Well I guess I'll still be considered "new" I officially take off the dealer paper plate.

 

Bad luck, GxR0ckstar.....yes those stickers can be a pain...and if they're put on crooked, they'll bug you forever.

As you found out, the sticker must be positioned carefully b4 contacting the plate, since removing the sticker to reposition is improssible. (they're made that way to prevent tampering).

Get your sticker(s) re-issued from the DMV for a nominal fee.

If necessary, take the plate off the car to position the sticker properly.

The month sticker is free in CA. Just go to the DMV or AAA and show your registration.
