i do it all the time. it's no big deal. in facts it's good for the motor to experience a wide variety of conditions during break in.

I don't own an 07' (I'm still lovin my 03.5 6mt) but I helped my mom drive her 07 G35X from the dealership cuz she hates highway... anyways needless to say I redlined it on the on-ramp.

They definately have *****! Is is crazy that I feel my car is faster? Is that jsut cuz its manual? maybe the 07s are just so smooth that they don't fee as raw and fast.

got up to 6000 at 9 miles. Bought the car with 8 so I was able to hold off for a little bit. I try to not go over 4k but it is hard. I am at 270 now.

Gone over 4K a few times but never over 5K. However, I only have 75 miles left to reach 1200K.

At 1201K it will be WOT for me!

I Romped on it the moment I hit 1200 miles, 1 mile later I hit Boston traffic . If it wasn't important why would they put it in the manual?

i drove it like i stole it from the test drive to now

tested the rev limited on the test drive in 1st gear.

I've never bothered to pay attention to break in miles for the last 4 cars I've had and none have caused me any problems

The first car I test drove .... the salesman couldn't wait for me to get on it. I can only assume he's like that with everyone. I'm sure they wouldn't do that with every car on the lot if they really thought it would create a problem down the road. ---- Or is that just me rationalizing it to feel better about how I've been driving since I bought the car ? Oh well, either way I'm having fun.

Just got the car last Thursday on the 3rd and its very tough to keep this baby under 5,000. I got her as a 39 month lease so needless to say, wasnt very cautious about the "break in" period so I've been revving her ever since day one. Its too much fun not to.
