I cruised under 4k for about the first 600 mi. Every now and then when the lanes are clear here on the H1 fwy, I punch my G into her comfort zone. What a feeling!

I got mine last Wednesday on the 2nd.

My self control lasted until I hit the freeway onramp (~0.4 miles).

Went over 4K by mistake a couple of times by a couple hundred rpms but as far as intentionally I've taken it up to about 5K now with the first time being around 800 miles or so

Pulling out of the Inifiniti parking lot after purchasing the vehicle I immediately hit the limiter. The only way possible to stay under 4k RPMs is to install a aftermarket rev limiter such as MSD ignition built with rev control.

You guys got me alittle nervous....
I never broke my G35S in like everybody been talking about.

I drive it only on the weekends so far; however, I drive it a little harder than in should maybe. Just because i want to make sure it's sound tight while I have a warranty. hint hint

Currently all mostly 2000k miles on the dash.

Should i be concern of the over 5000 rpm thing????

I was at 600 miles before I hit the 5K. I am at 900 miles now and I get to 5-5500 once in a while. I think I have done a good job of breaking it in. Can't wait for the 1,200 mile mark.

It goes over 4K rpm?

I couldn't actually see the tach, my head was slammed back in the headrest

only 39 miles.... seriously had it at 5k for a second accelerating and then I've been tying my foot and holding it up while I drive, to control myself

I redlined it 3 times on the freeway already.

I went over 4k like 15 times.

Maybe more.

It's impossible to control yourself.

Worth reading for everyone that thinks "babying" the car for the first 1200 miles is good for it:

Umm...

You mean there is an actual break in on this car? I guess I missed that part of the manual.
HA! I hit 5000 RPM's on my way home from the dealership and haven't stopped since

Wow! I've been pushing it since the day I got it(only has 300 miles as of now), ooh well, I guess I'm going to have to take it easy now. I hope I haven't ruined anything w/the car.
