Should I Wait?

I will get a new G35x. Just wondering should I wait for the 08 Model (so they can work out some kinks, like key fob, front grill, interior soft metal). Not sure I can wait, so it may not be an issue. Do you think there will be any changes to the 08?

I doubt that there will any of the changes that you mentioned; if at all. If you want to wait for any major changes, I'd say wait till maybe 2009 or 2010. I plan on waiting till then since they'll most likely have more goodies and a slight refreshening. Heck, they might have a variation of the GTR 7-speed transmission (disclaimerlease don't hold me to that or spread that statement as truth ).

There are 4000+ G35's sold each month. 3 broken fob reports on this site would not hold me from buying this car.

To quote Ralph Waldo Emerson, "Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising which tempt you to believe that your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires courage.” However, Mr. Emerson also said, "“How much of human life is lost in waiting.” Go for it. Those are minor issues.

why wait?? The 07 G is an evolution of the previous model. Thus, I doubt there are any real issues to be worked out. I also doubt you'll see the 3.7 liter engine in the sedn anytime soon since I think Infiniti will try to really differentiate the coupe and the sedan. I've put 10k miles on my G since december and love every mile.

07 G35 journey with premium. Blk/stone. 18 inch ASA black rims.

I would wait

There are still some bugs. I just got my '07 2 months ago and have had it in the shop 4 times. Wind noise at ear level on both the passenger and driver side, vibration in front end between 53 and 60 mph, searching while going downhill with cruise control on, to name a few. Dealer checked everything and compared to other cars and got the same results so it's not just my car. I'd wait or have someone else go with you to make certain that everything is in perfect order before you sign anything.
