Strangest new car experience so far.

Ok, so I just had the weirdest new car exerpience tonight.

I just picked up a 2004 G35 6spd Coupe yesterday. This evening I cleaned it all up and took it out for a drive. I stopped at the gas station and was filling up when a guy in his mid 20's hops out of his Camry and asks me if it is a G35. I say yeah, and he asks the standard questions: How much horsepower? Is it fun to drive? What year is it? How long have you had it?

I answer all the first round of questions and he responds with the obilgitory: I've been wanting to get a sports car, maybe an Infiniti, blah, blah, blah.

To make a long story short, after talking for about 5 mintues, he asks what I do for a living, and says he know's some people looking for employees in my career field.

Who would have thought just driving a G35 would lead to a random stranger offering to hook me up with a contact for a job opening? Life is looking good.

Hah. Cool. Take whatever hookups the car brings your way. You're off to a good start.

Have you seen the "Chick Magnet" thread though? That'll give you something to look forward to.

or even the "Hot Enough to Pick up Chicks" thread

Make sure it's not one of those "Join our expanding business and become a manager" deal where you have to keep recruiting people. Been bumping into a lot of those types of people at the stores lately....They start with friendly conversation, then they tell you that they have "friends" they do business with that need people.....It's getting annoying....

No, did not give the number or business card out. Told him I was good with my job and that was it.

AthensBlueG: Yeah, I've read those threads. I've been a member on this forum for the last year or so. It's helped me come up with a lot of ideas for what I want to do with my car as well as figure out which year/options I wanted to get. Hopefully I get some pictures of my G up soon.
