Brand new ride...2007 G35x Platinum Ice/Premium/Graphite-Alum

Hello all...just picked up my first new G yesterday...so far so good

Just wondering has anyone had problems programming the homelink garage opener? I've followed the instructions in the manual and have tried 4 or 5 times now with no luck...it says the light should blink from slow to rapid once it learns the code but mine just goes out after holding the button for about 1 min...any suggestions?

Nice looking ride. From your online name, I'm guessing you're hailing from Supernatural BC? Are you in the Lower Mainland? I've had my ride for a little over a month and loving every minute I get behind the wheel. Welcome to the site and thanks for posting your pics.

As for the Homelink setup, I didn't have any problems after following the instructions. BTW, which button are you holding the after a minute? From what I can recall, weren't you suppose to press the garage opener remote after the light first starts to blink? Just my two cents worth...

There's an 800# on the homelink card, maybe give them a call while you're trying it.
There should be a MAIN BUTTON on the door motor (not the remote) - this allows the rolling code to be matched.
Anyhow - congrats! good looking ride!

Thanks all glad to be here

I'll keep trying with the homelink...its for my gate opener at my condo...single fob with two buttons...1st opens visitor parking gate...2nd opens underground gate.

Yeah I'm a purebread BC boy...from the Okanagan originally but living/working the lower maninland now.

I'm questioning what I should do regarding tinting. At first being that I am leasing the car for 2 yrs I thought any modifications were not allowed by the dealer but I asked the business manager and they said tint was ok just not the front windows as per BC provincial law.

There is a place I've taken my last two cars both Jetta's that does a really good job and gives you several options for the level of darkness. I was thinking of just getting the single rear window done...any thoughts

Well I figurerd out why the homelink programming was failing...my FOB's frequency is 250Mhz...homelink requires at least 288+ Mhz

Hopefully my strata has a compatible FOB maybe I can trade.

Xman,

Where did you get your tint done? Do you have on all windows?
Is there some kind of regulation in BC limiting how much tint and where?

There is a pretty good place on Kingsway called Premium Auto which I've had 3 cars tinted by them now.

Decided to get all the back side & rear windows done for $200 cash...will take a couple pics later. I google'd canadian tint restrictions and came up with the below info which sounds right.

British Columbia - No film is permitted on the driver’s compartment, right and left. Any film may be installed on the side windows behind the driver. Any film may be applied to the rear window, provided the vehicle has 2 exterior rear view mirrors.
