Dealers are stubborn..

My experience is that if you start the communication over the internet, they deal better from the start, because they know you are a "smart shopper". All salesmen will try to tell you "this is a hot car, we don't do discounts", because some people will believe them, and then pay MSRP or close to it (and think they got a deal because the dealer threw in the $600 "appearence package" for free).
The caveat: You are going to get better dealers in large markets (LA, Miami, northern Jersey, etc.), where there are dealers competing. Finding excellent deals in one-dealer towns is going to be more difficult.

This may be a stupid ?, but I would rather know.
When you guys say you are getting $3100 off MSRP, you are talking about Financing correct? Is it possible to get a dealer to take money off MSRP when leasing?
from the dealer's perspective, it's all the same unless you're talking subsidization.
when a dealer sells a car via cash, finance, or lease, they get all the money up front. with either financing or leasing, the bank or other FI buys the car from the dealer.

the problem no one realizes is that the demand for the '07 G sedans are so high we actually don't have enough inventory -- so whatever is left for '07s must last us until the 08's come in late september
and i always give great pricing on the '07's to everyone-- there aren't any rebates from Infiniti on the G -- especially any financing specials. Infiniti is moving upstream and whoever has a G now that is leased call yourselves very lucky -- the lease rates went higher than they've been -- actually the same high rates as when it first came out last november 2006

i notice that the east coast has way more nissans and infinitis on the road than the west coast.
the high demand may just be regional.
on the west coast, you should be able to get the car under invoice.
there is no way a dealer doesn't make a good chunk of change selling at invoice. These cars are built much cheaper than they sell for.

right now there is a nice incentive to purchase a G35 Coupe

You gotta try other dealers, too. I visted three dealers and dealt with them one by one, telling I was also dealing with other Infiniti dealers. They didn't like it, but they had to show me something better to convince me. Also, I had one more weapon, which was that I was paying it in cash.
So I got mine $1,915 off MSRP from a dealer 20miles away from my home.
- I paid $33,400 IP Journey with premium pkg, Splash guards, Trunk Cargo Net
(MSRP : $35,315)
Some people had better deal than I had, but I am very satisfied with my deal. Anyway, try some other Infiniti dealers. need some tries, man!
