Just purchased new G35S

It's Blue Slate w/ everything except four wheel steering. Only had it for two weeks (512 miles so far). What impresses me most so far is how tight and taut the car feels on the road. Also, the level of fit and finish is very good. I haven't played too much with the paddle shifters yet, but I did get on it a little bit in "DS" mode after turning a corner and rocketed up to 6,500rpms. Still getting used to the somewhat abrupt throttle pedal and the fact that the DS mode seems to hold a gear longer before upshifts. I am doing my best to keep the rpms below 4k during break in although the salesman said not to worry about it.

Couple of annoyances though. First, why can't you adjust the memory seat settings while moving? I guess it's related to the inability to do much with the Nav system while moving also. Secondly, there have been a couple of occassions when I've had to re-pair the cell phone with the car and each time I have to re-enter the phonebook list and related voicetags. Don't understand why this info wouldn't simply stay there. I understand that it wouldn't work until you re-paired the phone, but why does the system delete it just because it doesn't recognize the phone??

All in all, it's a great car though.

Congrats on your new G!

Huh, I haven't even tried the memory buttons while moving... but not sure why they'd be locked out.
The phonebook has been an issue for many here - hopefully they'll have a fix /software update to address that.
Enjoy your ride - and welcome to the forum too!

Maybe it's a safety reason. If your seats move, especially if you accidentally (I wouldn't know how) hit one of the presets to something that isn't your size, then you might risk losing control of your steering wheel, pedals, and/or shifter. For example, if your spouse is way skinnier, or prefers a tighter configuration, while you're bigger like I am, you might end up pressing your body against the steering wheel (yes, I'm exaggerating here). At least your horn will be on and serve as a warning when you're about to crash into the cars around you. I dunno, just my 2 cents. If you need to do anything that will hinder or alter your driving, just pull over, press all the buttons you need, then resume driving.

CONGRATS on your new ride! I'm right there with you on the gas pedal. Every time I think I have it figured out, MASH! Takes off like a rocket! lol! Not complaining but I may need to find a chiropractor before too long...

The memory seating doesn't work while the car is in motion for the reasons suggested by others. Imagine if you're a midget with the seat all the way forward and you bump the button and the seat moves all the way back and you can no longer reach the wheel or the pedals. The same thing applies to lanky ***** with long legs. If you're rolling with the seat back in "gangsta lean" position and accidentally move the seat all the way forward, you'll end up with your knees in your chest.
