hey abailey (or anyone else that's done this), i just had a few questions about the coupe mid-pipe swap:

1) Is it a diy job? I haven't done any real mechanical work but i'm pretty handy with the tools.

2) Does the coupe mid-pipe swap void waranty at all?

3) Did you consider getting the 05-06 sedan mid-pipe? Is the sound for the coupe mid-pipe better thatn the 05-06 mid-pipe?

4) Does the year of the coupe mid-pipe matter at all? or are they all the same?

5) This will work fine on my AWD 04.5x right?

sorry for bombarding you with all these questions...but it seems like you know what you're doing haha.

Thanks!

Thanks for the kind words guys.

GHong:
This LINK should answer a lot of your questions (and has pics for reference).

1. Yes, DIY with some PB blaster
2. No way, its an OEM part
3. I did, the coupe pipe is supposedly a little more straight through and a tad louder, though i don't notice a drone. (Only time I hear a slight drone is between 1500-1900rpms and its NOT loud at all).
4. 03-06 will fit just fine.
5. Not sure if it works on the X's
6. See link above. Maybe a few ponies but dont expect a lot. I did the Pop Charger/Z tube at the same time as the Middy and noticed a slight improvement with the butt-o-meter. I would say less than 10hp total (both mods).

Does anyone know where I can find a DIY instructions with pictures? I understand it's pretty straight forward....but I want to be certain on how to tackle this before I do. Also, are there places that rent out car jacks? I don't own one and i think it'd be kind of hard to get underneath. Thanks!
