Hello Guys and Gals. I'm Wes.
I'll be getting a car this year (school year specifically) for my graduation present and I've pretty much decided that the G is the car for me. I've loved the G since the day it came out. My parents bought a QX4 back in 2001 and it has been one of the best cars we've had. We are all very happy with Infiniti.I've also really considered an S2000 or a 330i but after much thought I came to the conclusion that the S2000 is too small for my needs and the 330 will be quite a troublesome care to maintain (my mom's bmw has proved to be a slight pain as it is and it's brand new).
I'm slightly concerned about the oil consumption problems that many owners are experiencing with their 05's+. This applies to the coupe and sedan, correct? I thought I read that the engine in the coupe and sedan is tuned a little bit differently so I'm not sure if the oil problem applies to both models. I don't recall any 05+ sedan owners talking about the problems with oil consumption.
I plan to further my knowledge on the G by continuing to read through all the threads. Thanks guys!
