Ordered an '08 Sedan S, AT, Prem. Pkg.. XMSR. Liq. Platinum, RWD.
Delivery in Oct. Now driving an '03 Subaru Forester, (Talk about a quantum leap). Have not had a speck of trouble with the Subie so I will keep it for snow, ice and hauling junk. Can't wait.

I ordered mine over a month ago from Pearson Infiniti in Richmond, Va. Don't have an exact date yet.

Webbdoc: What were your color choices? I am waiting for the 08's and I am hoping they will add the "Dark Currant Red" being touted for the new 08 G35 EX. It also will have "Tidewater" instead of "Lakeshore". Did the dealer have full 08 info for you? Thanks... um

 

The color choices were the previous ones offered by Infiniti. I'm not aware of a Dark Currant Red choice,but I suppose there could be other choices with '08s. The sales rep. didn't mention the I-pod interface but he did say that, because of the merger of XM and Sirius, XM is the only sat. radio available. I found out about the I-pod thing on my own He also didn't mention that the Sport Pkg. can be had with the G35X.

 

I like his lack of knowledge since XM and Sirius haven't merged yet. It could be another year if it happens at all. We were an all Sirius household until the new G. Still have Sirius in the other vehicle and it's so much better.

 

Today I ordered a 2008 G35 sport (Platinum Graphite) with Premium, Navigation, Technology, 4 Wheel Active Steer, Spoiler and splash guards. I was told that it would take about 3 months for them to build and ship it to the dealership. I am expecting it sometime in early December, they promised to have it for me before Xmas. The dealer was not 100% sure that the 08 G35 would have the new ipod integration but he said the G37 has it as does the FX35/45 so he expects it to be available for the G35 as well. The dealer didn't have the info on the 08's yet but he told me mine would definitely be a 2008 and that he would be getting all the specs in a week or so and would let me know if anything has changed in case I want to alter my order. So far so good, just waiting until Dec....

 

Webbdoc: Thanks for the feedback. I google for news on the 08's everyday, and came across the press release for the new 08 EX35, which has most of the G35 colors plus a couple new. From the PR:

oh.. and the new 4 camera video system might find its way to the sedan too.

 

It's already been posted here about the color selections in 08. the only difference is the "sand" color is slightly changed.

As far as the options - ipod integration and xm are standard in premium package. backup camera now comes with nav package. And per my dealer anyway (no verification from anywhere else), graphite interior is no longer available with IP exterior.

 

Why are you guys ordering from the factory? Don't they have the models on the dealer lot? Here in Southern CA you can get any model, equipped the way you want it, on some lot.

I just stumbled upon this website a couple of days ago and i gotta tell you--ITS GREAT!!

My dad ordered me a 2008 Garnet Amber G35x with graphite interior with premium/nav/tech/african rosewood package and its due to come from Japan between last week of September to first week of October....

my previous car was an '06 Toyota Avalon XLS

as you can imagine I am so excited about this car that it feels like my car is never gonna come

my cousin has a 2007 G35x but i want my own.....

 

So as soon as the 08's show up, the one I want will be there. Plus there are not that many around with 6 speeds.
