When the the G35 coupes first hit the market, I knew it was a car that I would liked to own. In fact I told one of my cousins when I saw an ad in the paper, that this would be my next car and that it would be Laser Red. Well that was before Athens Blue was offered. I made it a goal this year that I was going to own one by October. At times it seemed as if it wasn't meant to be, but last month it finally happend. On 9/9/07, I took delivery of an 07 Athens Blue G35 coupe. It's a 5AT with graphite interior, Premium package, Navigation, Tire and wheel package, painted splash guards, and Trunk Mat. I want to thank first and foremost my sister for traveling with me 400+ miles to to Oakland to go get it. And let me tell you, I have never seen so many Raiders fan's in one place at one time. The day I went to get it, happend to be the Raider's season opener. I want to thank Shaun Dortch (salesman) for putting up with me and Vic (finance). My car had 11 miles when I drove it off the lot and it currently has a little over a 1000 miles and two battle scars (birth etching and rock chip. ) I can't wait to break it in. I would also like to thank Chris Dawoodi, Dan Rogers, Jeff Wade, Mike and Jaime (hai m'e) and everyone else at my place of work for there assistance and advice. Last but not least, I want to thank my fellow G35 drivers! Before I got my car, I spent months trying to learn as much as possible about the car and seeking advice about the buying process. So a big "thank you!" to all of you for all of your help and knowledge. I honor you.

Wow, that was fast. Lol, I had a feeling I was going to get asked for pics. The only pics I have are in my cell and I can't find my USB cable. But I will post pics once I find it. I remember when you first posted about your new ride...so how are you enjoying yours?

Thanks AlpineG3.5L and M.I.A. BlazinVQ for your comments. I don't know if this is considered a mod, at least I don't, but so far, I added the aluminum drilled pedal kit. I am planning on getting the Motordyne spacer. I am confused on the diffrent spacers and stuff so I got research to do. Other things on my list are sway bars, maybe a strut bar; I want to get some type of deep dish style wheels, and OEM chin spoiler and rear spoiler (not sure if I want the 03-05 or 06-07 style.) My main priority is getting my windows tinted. Man, I still can't find my USB cable As soon as I do I will post pics.

 

I'm in the same boat as you. I just picked up an '06 AB coupe MT, with the grey interior and 19" wheels. Bought it used with about 25k miles and so far I'm completely in love with this car. Although I was originally looking for DG or OB, the AB color has really grown on me and I like that it stands out to all the other G's. go AB! lol

 

Congrats on your new ride! The first time I saw Athens Blue I decided that the G I was going to own, was going to be in that color with graphite. Originally I was going for a Silver color but around So Cal it seems that a large percentage of the Gs are BS, LP, and DG. So that's another reason for wanting AB. There was a point where I was getting tired of looking for an AB coupe that I started being open minded about buying a DG. I saw a co-workers DG in the morning Sunlight and finally understood why there are so many out there. It's such a nice color. But yeah Athens Blue rules!
