Just leased a G35 - love it - but....
Hi everyone
,
Saturday I became the proud owner (for 36 months, anyway!) of a Liquid Platinum, G35 Journey with Premium & Navi.
The car absolutely rocks - it is everything I wanted and so much more!
BUT, there are two things I'm concerned about - when I turn the steering wheel, there's a scratching noise - like it's scraping on something.
And, there's a thumping noise that sounds like it is coming from the front driver tire well - the speed of the noise increases with the speed of the vehicle. It's loudest when going slow, but you can still hear it when going faster. Tire appears to be in good shape, and don't feel out of alignment.
Car has only 84 miles on it.
The dealer is 60 miles away from me, so don't want to have to take it in if I can avoid it since I have to plan a day off work to make a trip to the service center. So does anybody have any idea what might be wrong?

Thumping noise = bolt in new tire. I'm embarrassed, but am happy that nothing's wrong with the car!
Still no answer on the scraping noise in the steering wheel, but not a major issue so I will wait until first service and have them look at it then.
Loving the car more every time I get in it!
