Talking My New Baby... 08' G35x...

Hi everyone!
Im new to this forum and for a good reason. Just until a few days ago, i've been G35-less and therefore, not really eligable to post on this forum!

I just purchased my 2008 G35X!

After about 2 months of looking for a car, it was necessary that I picked up an AWD. I had to have an AWD this time around since Im a hardcore snowboarder and live within daytrips of Tahoe, California/Nevada~

My choice was either between a G35 (new or used), WRX (new) or a Lexus IS 250 AWD. Well, should I say I knocked out the WRX pretty fast compared to the other two. The Lexus was pretty small inside and had 100 hp less than the G. And with the 3.9% financing who could resist.

It's Platinum Graphite with Graphite interior. I got the Premium Package + Navigation Package, with a handful of extras that will insure that no matter how many times I take my baby up to the snow, it will still look like a great piece of ****! (haha)

Anyways, Im happy with my purchase and look forward to taking my G up to the snow.

FUTURE PLANS...
--Dedicated snow tires on my stock rims
--18's or 19's for my all seasons
--3M Clear Bra
--Snowboard Roof Rack
--Super light uniform tint on all windows
--POSSIBLY drop an inch or less

Im not too knowledgeable about fixing up or modifying G35's so any input on the topics listed above would be great!

also, since im new at this...I have an avatar I wanted next to my name when I post. I read that the signature cannot have an image unless you have X-amount of posts...but as for the avatar next to the name...how do I load one up?

I tried the "change avatar" page, and it says "no avatar selected" but it doesnt give me the option to upload one or link to one?

thanks for the help!

You must pay to become a Premiere Member, then you can use your Avatar and also go to the Premiere section along with a few other quirks.

just a thought

first of all...welcome to the club...i'm a newcomer myself.
Secondly, if you drop the car, aren't you negating the purpose for which you first bought the AWD to begin with. Dropping your clearance will guarantee one grinding ride on the deeper snow. just a thought...enjoy your G!

Congrats. Platinum graphite is a very upscale color that I've seen on more and more high end luxury cars. I'm sure it will also hide the dirt from all your snowboarding trips better than on my black G which shows dust before I even finish drying the whole car!

haha, yea...hopefully I can get some clean racks that dont mess up the roof. That's one of the main reasons for getting an AWD...TAHOE! Do you know any roof rack companies?

Is your G lowered? or just the M45 rims? it looks clean
