That was list with destination charges - no taxes or fees - and it was the 2008 G35x with Sport pkg ($1,100 list), Premium pkg ($2,300) and the obiligatory splash guards ($150) and cargo net ($60)...when the $715 dest is added, list is $38,675...Dealer invoice is $35,392 inc the dest charge...no nav or tech pkg...I didn't want nav and after having adaptive headlights on the Audi A4, I didn't want that feature (it's cool and works but there is still some vibration of the headlight assemblies and if you are keeping the car, potential for problems and shorter HID bulb life)...The set up I have in the G35xS is a pretty common config...The Sport pkg is a real bargain at $1,100 list and $948dealer cost...

Klossfam,

I just picked up my G35XS. Did you drive it during the winter in buffalo, or did you have the Audi. If you drove it in the winter, were the dunlop tires good, or do you think Ill have to get winter tires.

Thanks,
Manish

Manish - Just had it end of winter but caught a few nice slick days...The Dunlop Sport Maxx's are very good all seasons, and I actually felt the ATTESA AWD system handled Buffalo roads better than the Quattro system...of course, I had 235/40R18s on the Audi vs 225/50R18s on the G35xS, so the profile of the G's tires is better for snow. I was running Kumho ASXs on the Audi, which are decent all season tires. You should be in good shape with the Dunlops next winter - and if it gets bad, use the SNOW mode - the torque reduction built into the program really makes stops and starts easier when it is extra slick...My co-worker has had a 2007 G35x since Dec 06 and says it is a great car in winter (he has the stock Goodyear RSAs in 225/55R17 size)...Good luck with the new G...Post a pic if possible...

Haha. Nice ride... Interesting to hear the contrast to the Audi, which my wife was considering.

Manish - What color is your G35xS? I saw someone driving a Blue Slate clone of mine on Sheridan Dr on 6/10 and was just wondering...

Nope...not me. Mine is platinum graphite. But you may see a lot more just like yours around Buffalo. When I was shopping at autoplace they had approximately 10 G35xs....half of them were blue slate.
