New G35xS

Made the move from a 2006 Audi A4 3.2 Quattro S-line with the 6 MT tranny...loved the Audi but lack of room and complaints from other family drivers on a manual tranny accelerated the G purchase...I had experience with my friend's 2007 G35x - so I knew it was a great drivers car even with the 5 AT...Had to wait for 2008 and the S package to hit the G35x, however...mostly due to sport seats and wheel upgrade...plus the audio upgrades for 2008 were well worth the wait (std XM, iPod integration and Driver Sound Stage - which is awesome by the way)...See attached pic...

Sweet! Congrats on the new ride!!! I also came from an A4 (2005 2.0). However, in my opinion, I think the A4 had more room.

I was acutally referring to rear legroom only...I'd agree the A4 is more spacious up front - due to the FWD based platform vs a RWD platform like the G and the corresponding BIG tranny tunnel. I do like the cockpit seating, however...The A4 was fun and the 6 MT with Quattro gave a ton of control in winter (live in Western NY)...but the G has handled our long winter well and the Dunlop Sport Maxxs seem to be decent All Season donuts.

I guess I haven't been in the back of either my A4 or G35S 6MT enough to really tell the difference! And I am glad I don't sit back there! LOL!

I'll check it out - I'm at the other end of the our beautiful state of NY - suburban Buffalo, where 9 out of 10 Gs you see are of the "x" variety!

Good question - I have no idea - actually I started another screen name (klossfam - the screen name intended originally) because once set up, you can't delete it...Maybe "Mary Kay" will start giving top sales reps PINK G35s (I HOPE NOT!)

Hey klossfam..I am also located in Buffalo, and am interested in getting a g35. Did you buy from autoplace infiniti, if so who was your sales person, were they good to you and how much were they willing to deal.

Thanks
Mike.

Mike - Myself and a co-worker have dealt with Mike Fabrizio at Autoplace - he is one of the partner's sons...and a real good guy...tell him Jeff K and Smitty sent you...As you know it is a buyer's market - and about $300 to $500 over dealer invoice is the most you should pay - i.e. my car was $38,675 - paid about $36K when the trade was factored...I think they are a decent dealership and have a lot of Nissan/Infiniti knowledge (and a good working relationship with Dorschel in Rochester - which is where my car and my friends 07 G35x were dealer traded from - so GOOD inventory)...I'd recommend them as a solid dealer...Thx

Thanks for the reply...i will be sure to see mike when I go to the dealership. Did you get the G35x with sport, premium and nav package? Does that price you paid include tax?
