New owners..are you happy with your G35 Sedan? Trying to decide..
Ive narrowed it down to the 08 TLs or a 07 G35 Sport, (both in AT)..I just wanted to hear some feedback from you guys that had alot of seat time in your new G35- and hopefully some of you had experience with the TLS prior so you can give some pros and cons..
I was leaning towards the TLS bc of the exterior, interior looks, the nav..wasnt crazy about the FWD (although it would be better for me being in NE PA) and the lack of power compared the the 300+ HP G35...although the TLS would hold its own..
Thanks for the feedback

I think you will get an overwhelming yes as an answer to picking the G over the TLS.
For me...it's huge yes. The G is #44 in a long line of cars for, my last 5 were an 05 and 06 S60R, 2007 Grand Cherokee SRT8, and two 2007 Wranglers. Some previous cars were Saab 9-3 Aero with BSR PPC, a 540i
(BMW bought back), and a 06 Wrangler Rubicon. Those just since 2004.
There were many things I like about each of the above. And then there was a list of dislike for each as well.
The G, for me, has a near perfect balance of everything. Size, build quality, performance, mpg, options out the butt, price advantage, etc.
It's overall the best of everything in one really affordable package - with none of the drawbacks of any of my other rides. And some of those rocked.
So I say skip the TL, and get the G. I thought about the TL a few years back due to the tech in it, but after the Aero, I could not deal with torque steer on a regular basis.
Just my $1.00 worth.

i guess im happy. the car def makes me happy. the problem I am having is whether or not its a downgrade/upgrade from my 05 Jaguar X-type
its got a lot more toys and power than the X, but the Jaguar name alone is striking like BMW and Merc.

Love it, specifically:
Good luck!
- Looks
- Performance / handling. Love the way it drives
- Interior (Sport) - great seats, comfortable, good features
- My experience with Nissan, and the VQs (this is my third) is that they are really reliable
- Exhaust sound
Good luck!
I was also between the TLS and the G Sport. Had a FWD Passat VR6, so the torque steer wasn't the deciding factor.
I got the G after extended test drives of both. Like ParkStr8, I think the G has the perfect balance of handling, power, and upscale sexiness. The two features that were probably the most decisive for me was the tightest in its class turning radius and super 13.5" brakes on the G. Both will get you out of a lot of jams.
BTW the Goodyear F1 all seasons were really impressive this winter here in the northeast. You'll need at least those if not Blizzaks in the winters.
The G is an absolute blast to drive.

Isn't the new bodystyle TL-S coming out soon? The current model TL-S is blah to me, but the next one to hit the showroom looks pretty sweet. I've always been a Honda/Acura owner. Coming from the TL-s 3rd generation, front wheel drive sucked!!!! Then after going through numerous trannies with the recall, I decided it was time for a change. Now that I'm in the G, I could never go back to a FWD car. The handling, the sexy lines, the torque, the current TL-S has nothing on it.
I have driven the VQ from 01 Maxima, 03 FX and now 07 G.....There is no comparison...The G is the best blend of Torque, Sport, Accleration, Sexy lines etc., I think Lexus is in the luxury side but Acura is lost in the middle ...My $.02

The Jaguar name doesn't seem to mean much to people IMO though. It only brings thoughts of old people, terrible resale, and sub-par reliability.
Is money a deciding factor? The G is at least a few grand cheaper than a TLS.
I still say you can't go wrong with any of the following:
IS350
G35
335i
TLS
Drive them all, decide which you like the best. They're all different and all good.

I got bored with the TL-S very quickly. It started to remind me of my wife's Accord...just all riced out
The G beats it in every category.
Ask this same question in the Acura forums and get the exact opposite answer!

The only person I know of that did that was Kuneff who traded his coupe for a TL, and he is missing his coupe like crazy and, last I heard, regretting the TL purchase.
