Thumbs up New G35 Journey owner here

Hello,

Noob here....I am now the proud owner of a 2008 Ivory Pearl Infiniti G35 Journey with the Premium and NAV packages. It is my first Infiniti, and will not be my last. I owned a 2000, 2002, and a 2005 Nissan Maxima prior to my purchase. I was looking at the 2009 Nissan Maxima, but thankfully took a much closer look at Infiniti. I love this car!

Thanks to everyone for an awesome forum. By the way, do any of you have any thoughts/experience on the "clear bra" that I know as Venture Shield or 3M? Any input positive or negative would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Do some searching for the clear bra as there are more than a few threads on the subject.

Congrats on the ride, enjoy!

Welcome....Well I had the Venture shield clear bra installed and I would say go 4 it....it really helps if you are spending lot of time on the freeway I would say... only 1 thing is go with a certified installer as this would be a mess if not done right...

Looking great. Congratulations on your G and welcome to the site.

As to clear bras, I think both makes are good, the most important thing is to have a good installer.

Thumbs up

Congrats on the new ride

re clear bra
I've had both 3M & Venture (most recent)

IMO the Venture has a little less orange peal effect to it, but the difference is slight.
Like the others^ , the MOST important thing is a good installer.

3m

I just had the 3M product placed on the front of my car and I love it. I am having it installed across the front of the hood and fenders tomorrow. No more nasty bugs sticking to my paint. Hopefully, fewer rock chips on the front as well!

Nice car!
I put the 3M bikini-cut full kit, including the A-pillars and roof front end, on mine. I have the same kit on all of my other cars and love the stuff. One nice thing, on the white, the thing is REALLY invisible! I would take some pics, but there is nothing to see!

congratulations on the ride, it's beautiful

on the clear bra: I used to be one of those guys on the fence about the bra and say stupid things like "bras are for girls"...but after having several chips on my bumper and other mishaps...I'm on the bandwagon and I will clearbra my new headlights and new front bumper coming

Had the 3M bikini-cut installed on the hood and fenders last night. This was after I did a bit of a trial run on the front bumper. I really liked how it looked and how easy it was to remove bugs and other junk so I went ahead and had the additional work done. Of course, keeping the chips to a minimum is my main goal. I suppose time will tell how well it works for me.
