Not an owner yet, but working on it ....

Well where do I start? I have been into the automotive game for a long time and I like to change up from time to time so here I am doing a little research. I have been into Nissan since the beginning of my automotive fascination but I veered away to the European scene but I am considering coming back with a G35 sedan so that is why I am here. I currently drive a 2000 Audi A4 1.8t Quattro with full stage III turbo setup but I want something else and I have a friend who frequents this forum and his name is Vik and drives a G37, that I was able to get him a deal on since my uncle owns a Nissan and Infinity dealership.

Now it's time to call in a family favor for myself so I am just looking around as to what mods are possible for the cars and to see some of the fine examples that are on this forum. I want a well balanced vehicle with both handling and performance, (don't we all) so my choice does not necessarily have to be a new vehicle as there are a lot of performance parts available for the 2005-2006 3.5 VQ motor so we'll just have to see.

As soon as I decide on a vehicle, I'll post up pictures as it usually doesn't take me that long once I've made up my mind.

Here is a picture of my current car and how I like to mod and hopefully that will give you a little insight into what I like. I look forward to talking and getting to know fellow car enthusiasts.

Thanks, Fred

Hello Fred, welcome to the Driver. I can see you have mod-itis already. You will find everything you want and more here. I'm surprised if your Uncle has a Nissan/Infiniti dealership you have waited so long to consider joining the family . Are you considering the sedan, or coupe?

Thanks for the welcome and I did have a few Nissans before I veered away, (1992 Se-r, 2000 Pathfinder, 2004 V-Spec) that were from my uncles dealership.

As far as my next vehicle I am a little undecided and torn between to models but one will be my nest vehicle.

1) 2007 G35S sedan

2) 2007 FX35awd

Maybe you can help me decide.

Hummm, I imagine only you can truly decide what fits you. The FX is beautiful, and has a decent range of mods available. But I am very partial to my sedan. Do you feel you are wanting to move away from the sedan for a while? If so then the FX would probably be best. If you are still satisfied with a sedan, stick with it. Honestly, I believe the market is a little wider for the sedan b/c it is a little more common (check out the # of posts/threads in the G section). However, if you want to stand out more, the FX, since there are alot of options for it too.
Good luck! Glad to see you stepping into our family!

Like Amanda (the official Driver welcoming committee Hi 'Manda) I'm partial to the sedan.

Hi Swiv! I am as close to the Wal-mart door greeter as you can get. I love to say hi to all the newbies (even tho I'm not that old myself, lol). Just a people person, sometimes to the extreme.

So did you decide what you like best?? I am anxious to know....
