We now have two kids in car seats, so the eclipse had to go. Last week I picked up a 06 G35 Sedan. Black with black interior. Had the premium package and nav with 30k miles. Got it for $17,900.
So far I love the smart key and the seat/wheel moving when you enter/exit!
The previous owner had done a few things. Still trying to figure out exactly what. Most notable is an AEM intake. But the car is a LOT more peppy than some of the others that I test drove. More so than you'd (or at least I'd) expect from the intake alone.

Auto...The wife's criteria for a new car was 4 doors and auto. Mine was 250+ Hp and RWD.
I'd been looking at G35's for a while, but always coupes. The fact it came in a sedan saved me. (The other option was for her to get something new and me to inherit her mini-van!

Ewwww I'd rather inherit a freaking station wagon than minivan
!! lol - we are on the same wavelength apparently. I moved from an 00 Eclipse to an 05 sedan. Only 1 kiddo tho, and she's in a carseat. MY criteria for my next ride was 4 doors, manual tranny, RWD or AWD (the X doesn come in 6MT so that ruled that out!!), leather/6disc/premium stuff, sunroof, and minimum 250 hp. I looked at the Acura TL, BMW 3 series, MazdaSpeed6(actually the runner up), even a Volvo, Evo and Subaru! Almost got the 03 g, but liked the perks in the 05 and it came with 38 more hp stock, which really doesnt feel like that much more in real world, but I felt the difference when test driving. Plus I liked the upgrades (lights, bumpers, wheels etc) on the 05 vs the 03. IMO anyway. The main 2 things I would NOT under any circustances budge on was the 4 doors and manual.
So I know exactly what you mean!! WOW what a difference from the Eclipse huh? I tell everyone I felt like I was driving a school bus then, but didn't know it! Hahaha.
Welcome to the Driver and anjoy your new mistress!

Actually, there was a Volvo wagon at the lot that I was considering (R version with the turbo). I thought of Subaru or lancer ralliart / Evo also.
Exactly on the dot with the Eclipse. I never thought it was that bad when I had it. Bunch of understeer in the turns, but I always put that to FWD. The biggest thing now is that I can back up again. The rear end of the eclipse was so big that it was really hard to back up anywhere and you had to be REALLy careful with the blind spots (almost hit people a couple of times over the years). Now, I know I'm in a bigger car, but it handles much better. Every onramp that was pushing it in the eclipse is easy as cake at the same speed in the G35.
