First Time G35 Owner

Hi everyone. I’m new to the community. I just purchased my first G-car last week. I purchased a 2006, red on black G35 coupe with automatic transmission and premium package. I don’t have navigation, but the Bluetooth is really handy. I purchased the car completely stock with the 17-inch wheels. I plan to upgrade the wheels very soon, plus tint the windows. That’s the only mods I have planned for the moment. I like the ‘mesh’ type wheels…can anybody recommend a good site or location to pick up some nice 19 or 20-inch wheels?

My previous car was a 1999 Honda Civic EX (manual transmission). I bought it brand new in 1999 and that’s all I’ve driven for the past 10-years. This G35 is like night and day compared to my civic. I’ve gotten so much pleasure driving this car over the past week. I know the G35 is not ‘supercar’ fast, but for me it’s way faster (even stock) than I will ever need! I don’t plan on making any mods to the engine. I love the grunt the engine makes when I accelerate.

Another quick question to show I’m a newbie. On the lower part of both driver and passenger doors, are those red reflectors, or red lights? My manager at work insists that they are lights. I can’t find any blown fuses, nor can I find any reference to it in the service manual. I think they are reflectors. Even though my car is still under factory warranty, I don’t want to go to the dealership and look stupid asking this question.
I will post pics of my G-ride within the next day or so.

Snap shots of my G taken this morning

It's not so sunny today here in sunny Southern California.

Thanks...I'm looking forward to meeting other G35 owners. This is my 12th car I've owned in my lifetime and by far the best!

My manager drives a Nissan Maxima and I guess he has similar red lights on his door. I ran into another G35 owner at the car wash an he said the same thing...they are not lights. I just wanted to know for sure, so I could get them fixed (not necessary) while the car was under the factory warranty.

I still have my Civic...it's red on black also...I have a thing for red cars. It has been very reliable and economical transportation for all these years...gotta keep it. My only problem is I only have a 1-car garage in my condo, so guess which car gets to come inside at night. Yep, my civic has to sleep outside in the parking lot at night. The G35 has to share a small space with my motorcycle and beer fridge. Hey that's life when you want to have a few toys.
