Back in the G Groove..

nice to find this forum. After 8 years away from Infiniti , I'm back with a Silver 2006 G35 sedan. Cant beleive the deal I got on this car. Loaded , 6 MT, with ( after viewing all of the options on this site) every concievable option but the smart key. I scored it in Boston last week for $14,900. I have a couple of questions for all of you pro's. Is it possible to get a copy of the original window sticker on this car ?? I'd like to know in detail what Packages and options were stock and the original sticker price too... I was about to buy a 2008 G35S with 2K miles on it before I saw this car listed, and can tell you aside from the built in nav ( not pop up like mine ) and some extra horses. I feel like i stole this baby.

Sorry to be such a noob , but here are some more questions:

- what should I look out for ? I took it to a dealer and they researched the TSB's and this car didnt qualify for the oil pooling problems ive seen on the site. Any other issues I should keep a heads up for ?

- Nav manual ....where can I score one ?

- I drive between 35-45K miles a year, would you recommend switching to synthetic and keeping the 7500 recommended change intervals?

- do I really need to use Premium fuel ?

- I need to keep this car undercover, due to my work , so major modding wont be happening here ( much to the dismay of my 19 and 17 yo sons ! ) but i do like the titanium sport pedals the G35S had. What is the best aftermarket site to buy these from ?

- Tire recommendations for performance and also the high amount of miles I drive each year.

Thanks in advance for the advice, its good to be back...

Welcome to the boards. Premium is a must. Try lower octanes and you will notice the performance drop right away. I used 89 octane once and it felt like the car was struggling. As for tires buy the best you can afford. I'm looking at some Falkens later this year. Can't recommend Navi as I really don't have a need for it.
