Hello everyone!
Hello everyone!
Just realized there was an intro thread. I posted a question before properly introducing myself.
36 years old, married with a 5 year old daughter. Just became a member of the G family last week when I happened upon an '05 Lakeshore Slate Coupe. I was looking for similar cars, and this one showed up on Autotrader, just 10 miles away from where I work.
Drove up there in a '96 Tahoe, took the coupe home for a couple of days, came back after I was pleased with it, and signed the papers. Of course, the wife had to approve it, and once we went for a ride (and the little one had plenty of room) she was sold.
Now, I know nothing about cars. I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit that on this forum, but hey....I'm a quick learner. Hopefully there are enough of you good people here to help me out when I need it.
You can imagine the sensation I get from driving this car after going from a '96 4WD Tahoe. Kind of mind blowing. I had a '00 Prelude at one time, and loved the hell out of it, but it later proved to be impractical.
Anyway, I hope to learn a boatload of information here on my new ride. It's out of basic warranty, but still under the powertrain one. I posted about an ever so slight vibration at highway speeds that may well be the tires/wheels. Hopefully so. Other than that, the car is in unbelievable condition cosmetically. If it ever stops raining here in Mississippi, I'll get a chance to work on making it look pretty.
Glad I found this place, and looking forward to contributing lots of questions. If any of you have questions about good whiskey or home theater, maybe I can offer something.
(that smiley has nothing to do with my last sentence, I just thought it was one of the cooler smiley's I've seen on one of the many forums I belong to).
Cheers.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

Why did you buy a car with that godawful color? Haha, J/K. People in the know understamd that LS is the bomb!! Best Infiniti color ever, period. Congrats, the first piece of advice I have for you is to turn off VDC. Then have fun and be careful, it's addictive.
You have definitely come to the right place. Driver has more info and cool features than I have found on any G35 board on the internet. Use the search function to look up information on just about any question or topic that you want to know more about. If you're like me, your thirst for knowledge will be insatiable. And +1 on the mods. As I've said before, mods are like beer, you can't have just one.
There are a lot of GREAT people on here, but as always we have a few immature people that will make you scratch your head by their comments, grammar and spelling (or lack thereof), and attitudes. Don't let them discourage you. As one of the older members on here, 46, it used to really bug me, but I've come to realize that it happens and now it just amuses me if anything.
Congrats again, and if you ever need anything let me know.
Also, we need pics, please..............

There's lots of nice and helpful people here, and no need to feel embarrassed, nobody knows everything, so everyone's got something they can learn here.
Ah, the good ol' days. Used to have Scotch and Cigar night over at a friend's house when I lived in Portland, Orygun. They'd drink 25 year old Glen Somethingorother, and I'd have a few beers with an Arturo Fuente while slowly working on my little half drink of Scotch and water. I never did acquire a taste for the whole "water of life" family of liquors. More of a Rum/Tequila drinker (good Tequila).
Thanks again, everyone. Mods? I've already realized that I'm going to dump a huge amount of cash into this ride. There's no way I can just leave it alone after seeing some of the cars on this forum.
