If you're looking for speed, performance, and practicality (4dr,AWD) get the Evo especially since you know the owner and it's stock, that's a huge plus.

If I were you I would only get the G due to styling (which is subjective), comfort, and luxury.

I would be very weiry buying the EVO, most have them spent a good amount of time in the higher RPMs. Good that you know him but you don't know his driving habits.

I bought my G sedan to stay away from trouble, and revving vtecs.

When I decide to buy my fast AWD car it will be an 07 WRX STI. I will probably still own the G when that time comes and use it as my DD.

I would like to daily a G35 and keep a evo for weekends. but doesn't seem it's going that way. I don't think G35 is bad, but I come across a G I'll let everyone know. but I wish i get a g35 for 15-16K I dont think thats going to happen.

If you look around you can find some 03 possible 04 for the price range your looking for, just with higher miles.

Overall the G is a better car for the long haul and are known to have less problems.
The EVO would be a fun car to drive and really depends on what your looking for in the car.

Just keep in mind that the EVO will give you more problems as time goes on while the G will give little to no problems as times goes on.

Good luck
