New owner of an '03 G35 sedan (in one week)...

I've posted a few questions in the sedan area a short while back but I thought I'd officially introduce myself since this is just about a done deal. So HELLO FROM DENVER!

I've been keeping my eyes open for an 03/04 with 90-110K miles for less than $10K. Found a few decent ones, but one came up with 106K, and EXTREMELY clean. Silver with tan interior. The CarFax says it had an accident waaaaaay back in 2003 at 9k miles. We put it up on a lift and looked around. The suspension and frame looked solid (no creased metal, funky welds, etc.), compression rods will be replaced with the deal. Zero oil/tranny/rear diff leaks, dry as a bone actually. No marks from abused rear axle mounts, drives/shifts smooth and the leather is in really good shape. The stereo had it's main circuit board replaced about 10k miles ago. Paint is fantastic for a 7 yr old car. Apparently it's always been a Colorado car (low/no humidity).

I'll be picking this up for just over $9k - does that sound fair?

Looking forward to enjoying a sports car disguised as a sedan!

Thanks!

Al

Thanks! Things done in the last month or so:

- Found a set of 1-season-old Blizzak LM22's mounted on 17" ASA JH3's ($500).
- Replaced all four shocks/struts win Monroe SensaTracs. ($300)
- Glued down the upper glove box cover.
- Replaced right front inner fender well ($35)
- Replaced clock bulbs w/ amber LEDs ($10)
- Changed all fluids except for transmission. Tranny fluid looked/smelled nearly new.
- Changed spark plugs to NGK Iridiums (less expensive than platinum!)
- Replace brake pads on all four corners.

Needless to say, I've been busy! I guess it's a ritual for me to go through a new used car with a fine tooth comb and eliminate/prevent any issues right away.

Looking forward to contributing to the forum as well.

- Al
