New user, future G owner.
Hi everyone! Just a quick introduction of myself. I'm a Specialist in the Army and currently stationed in Tallil, Iraq. Haven't bought my G yet, but I'll have her when I get back stateside. I have big plans and have already been researching mods. I'm hoping to pick your brains while I'm over here so I know the best parts to get. So, for the moment I want to ask for some help. I'm gonna have about $28,000 for upgrades when I get home, 7k is pretty much spoken for by the Greddy TT kit, and another 6k for the APR Widebody kit and paint. So, think back to your days at stock, and let me know what you'd do with $25-28k (or $15k if you're down with the GTT and widebody!) One caveat, remember, that budget includes installation and any suspension and other "goes fast, drives good" stuff. Extra points to anyone who makes a CARB legal, emissions friendly 500-550 RWHP. Thanks in advance for any help and I know I love "what if" scenarios, and figure some of you guys/gals must be like me!
Welcome to the forum, and really appreciate what you guys are doing in Iraq. hope you get home safe!
What year G are you getting? coupe? sedan?
There are a lot of knowledgeable ppl in this forum that can help you spend your "mod" money
You can always get a better car with extra $25-$28k

Thanks for the welcome! I plan on a 2004-2006 coupe. I've just gotta find one to pull the trigger on and send my brother after (hee hee) that way when I get home I'll have a garage full of G and luscious brown boxes with goodies inside. I suppose you're right, I definately could buy a better car, but it'd be stock, sometimes it isn't about the car, it's about the journey. Besides have you seen that widebody kit? SEXY!
Welcome to the forums, if I had 30k on mods I'd go TT, coilovers, wheels, and brakes in that order. A reliable TT set up is definitely going to run you well over 7k and there is going to be more then just bolting the kit up. Depending on your HP goal you might want to beef up your engine internals as well. But with 30gs for mods you should be fine. I know nothing compared to other users on this thread. Use the search function and talk to people. There are a lot of guys here that know there ****.
Again, welcome and I wish you a safe return home.
