From an LS1 to a G35
First of all I want to say hello to all the members here. As for my background my past consisted of a 98 Z28 (LS1 & 6-speed) with 150K on the clock.
The current is a 03 coupe automatic with 67K miles. I picked her up for a little under 12K. It feels soo nice to be in a car that just feels solid, luxurious, sexy, etc. After reading the forum for the past few days I do notice the car has some cons when compared to the camaro. First would have to be reliability, I know many will disagree but after 150K miles (bought the camaro at 93K), I replaced the following in the camaro: CD Changer, Clutch, driver side window motor, and recently it started getting an oil leak. Most of these problems the G's are getting at a very young age, which is unfortunate, but it makes things a lot worse when the parts are almost double to triple than what I'm really used to. Oh and lets not forget the power, haha. Even though I'm very surprised as how quickly the G gets moving with a V6, and the exhaust note makes it 10 times better.
But enough of my rant. I've had the car for 3 days and enjoying every minute of it. Hopefully it will be more enjoyment and less repair work.
See you all in the forums.

Welcome. I also came from a bunch of GM cars, the last of which was an LS1 Camaro 6-spd as well. Overall I love the G35 a lot. But I still miss that LS1 thrust. The G is still plenty of fun though. With just an intake and a newer HR y-pipe from an '08 350Z, I ran 13.79 @ 103.5mph on my heavy winter wheels.
Here is my Camaro and also my G...

I've always avoided driving cars more powerful than whatever I've owned at any given time so that I don't have to resist any temptation to buy that car. Can I ask you just how much performance difference there is between the 2 cars? Night and day, feels a little faster, how would you describe it?
