I'm sure I would too, but they are going for almost 10K more for the mileage and options I'm looking at.

I don't think the second gen Sedans have too many widespread problems. Even the first gens are pretty reliable by most peoples standards. Most of the problems are easy fixes or minor annoyances.

Hate to bump an old thread, but just letting you guys know this past weekend I finally got my G.

2007 G35X, premium and tech packages, IP color with stone int. 37k miles, sold for $22k.

I'm not looking to mod much. Probably just exhaust, wheels, maybe a very light tint, rear deck lip spoiler. I want to to look pretty stock, so I'm thinking of just getting the sport package wheels, although so far I've only found the sport packages wheels in a staggered set up. I test drove a G35XS with those wheels so they must be available somewhere in a non-staggered setup with the correct offsets.

BTW, V is still for sale if anyone is interested ;-)

you can run staggered g37 19s from coupe and they wont bother your awd, because tire rotation dimensions are perfect.
Lower it,
Get some hfcs.
exhaust, intakes, and u'll enjoy ur car more

i agree. for 10k less you get basically the same car -22hp and the same torque. 306hp, still better then the old VQ.

oh and the seat heaters have several settings aside from high/low.

not a big deal.

I won't be lowering it, I already almost scrape getting out of my driveway, and my roads are not friendly enough for a lowered setup. I'm also often driving to work in 6 inches or more of snow, so I need the extra clearance. I like the dropped look as much as the next guy, just can't swing it here in rural NEPA.

I'm looking into exhausts, something quiet that won't drone on the highway. This is my first automatic car since I was 18 years old, and I hear the louder exhausts really drone on this car with the 5AT.

I've read even staggered setups with the same diameter tire can cause issues, possibly due to the wider tires resisting rolling more so than a narrower tire I assume. I'd like to find four G37 front wheels, but I'll prob find an aftermarket wheel that looks somewhat stock. I've seen the sport edition SE-14 wheels, which are only 18" but look like the G37 coupe wheels, haven't heard much about them. Also looking at 18" Enkei EKM3 wheels. I also like the 19" ASA GT1, but not sure about the quality.

All questions for other threads I guess.
