WHATS UP EVERYONE! New to the site, not to the VQHR engine :)
Hi everyone!
my name is David, i just joined this forum to get to know a few more G35/G37 owners. I myself have a 2007 San Marino Blue Nissan 350z and organize meets and cruises that consist of nothing but Z's and G's!
I am from the San Fernando Valley area, 22yrs old, born and raised in germany (hence my s/n) and absolutely love the HR engine. Before purchasing the 350z i was deciding between the g35 and 350z. they are both amazing cars, one that is more luxurious and has more room, the other that is a bit more sporty with little to no space lol. chose the Z since i have not much need for back seats and found a great deal that i just couldnt pass up on
I can see myself driving a g35/37 one of these days, who knows it might be my next car
here are pictures of my car:

the last event i organized was a cruise to superior automotive in anaheim. i befriended the shop owner and he gave me a group discount ($30/car) to be dynoed, so we had about 15 350z but only 1 G35 get dynoed there. all cars ranging from stock (great opp to get a base line dyno) to twin turbo. we all met at a certain location and cruised down to anaheim together. id love to have just as many g35's rolling with us than 350z's..the more the better of course!
back in november last year we had a huge run that originated in woodland hills (for those of you in the area) which led through mullholland hwy to pacific coast highway and ended at neptunes net for lunch. for this event we had about 25 350z's but only about 5 G35's. i think i might have some pix from that event:

ok you guys get the point. and we had another few meets/cruises identical to this one this year. i am currently planning on organizing another event at the end of october that will originate in the Valley/Los Angeles and lead to fontana quarter mile drag strip. there you can race your car $20 all day or you can just come with us and watch/ride shotgun in any car $10 one time fee if you are not looking to race your own car. I will organize a bbq, some ice coolers with drinks, car tents for shade, seats..etc u get the idea. for those of you who have never gone to a quarter mile strip i can guarantee you it will be the time of your life! there will be cars ranging from ricer civics to Z's,G's, beemers...toyotas..cars of all manufacturers! completely stock to highly modified. upon arrival we will be grouped up in groups of ~40-80cars depending on how many cars total there will be. then we will all race in groups to keep wait times to a minimum and to keep everything organized. while our group is waiting to be called, we can chill, talk cars, check out rides, eat food, and just have a good time. i am really looking forward to meeting ya'll and i hope me not having a G won't cause trouble.
thanks again for reading and i hope to see some more G's at our next event!

Welcome to the forum. Its great to see Z's on here too, even though it is a G35 forum. I've been to my350z before and lets just say, the crowd over there isn't as welcoming.
What kind of mods do you have on your Z? She looks dope.

Welcome to DRIVER! Beautiful Z, I'm a member of My350Z too and am pretty much ignored and ratings on my garage are so low I won't mention it. There's a Z owner that lives two blocks away, he also has the same attitude and I've invited him to meets/shows....nothing. As a former owner of a '92 300ZXTT with all the right stuff I never looked down my noise at other automotive groups....don't understand! I grew up in the SFV, you're more than welcome here!

thank you sir!
idiots. i do have an account over on my350z but only because i buy stuff from vendors there and other members, but thats all i use the site for. my primary forum is 350zmotoring.com the guys over there are super chill and dont bash on ppl. ive got close to 2K posts over there so yeah thts where i post all news in regards to meets/events. so again im glad im welcome here, and i'd love to get to know as many people as possible to make the socal meets/cruises epic! as of now i have basic bolt ons, nismo dual CAI, Greddy evo2 full exhaust, megan racing TP, and osiris tune. i am currently at 278rwhp. my primary goal as of now is to pay off the car by the end of the year. once that burden is off my shoulders i can take on the next one. hopefully i will be able to get her supercharged in 2011. thats where i am aming towards.

I'm thinking about getting a 350z for a daily driver. The only reason I got the G35 over it before my evo is because I needed backseats. But now that I have the evo, the 350z is an option!
Nice pics, welcome to the forum. All drivers are welcome here! Keep us updated on any changes. I'll be using it for ideas for my future 350z =p.
That color is crazy by the way, I rarely see it.

thx for the welcoming again, i'll be sure to keep you posted on future mods. as of now i got my setup pretty much the way i want it. just installed kw2 coils (not shown in pix) and am now in the market for new wheels. i was lookin at the enkei rpf01's. but again paying off the Z is my main objective at the moment. lol there is always something that can be done to cars, its a never ending and unfortunately expensive hobby..yet i love it! lol. also thx for the compliment on the color its san marino blue, ive been looking for this color for the longest time. only comes on the 07-08 models which is why its a bit more rare to see.

Surprisingly, compared to my G35, the evo is great on gas.
My G35 got about 18MPG average. My evo on the other hand is getting 26-28MPG hahaha. I never hit boost, which is probably why. It's usually below 0PSI while driving.
RPF1's are sick. San Marino Blue looks great. Wish it came in older models since I won't be able to pick up a late model 350z lol. =/

Yeah. My friend is helping me with car choices.
I've pretty much said that since I have the evo, I can pick up a 2 seater. The only options i'm considering are the S2000 and 350z. I'm leaning towards the Z just because I want the V6 sound. =) I don't want another 4 banger. I gotta have the VQ sound, so the s2000 won't cut it. lol.
