SRS Recall

I guys!

Question for you: The Infiniti dealer made the recall on my G35X sedan 2005 and 3 days after, the airbag light flashing. Before the recall, this light never flashing!

The dealer said than I need to replace the module ($1066 CAN).

After a lot of discussions, Infiniti Canada make me a "good will" deal and the are ready to pay half of the bill but I refused it because I never had some troubles before that!

I want to know if somebody had the same problems as mind?

Thanks

Try the airbag reset procedure first before you do anything. I had the same situation happen, my light started flashing a little over a week after the dealer performed the recall. Did the reset and it hasn't flashed since and this happened 3-4 months ago.

If however you reset the light, it turns off, and then starts flashing again you have an issue that needs to be looked at. Hope this helps.......

Welcome!

You are not alone. Many have reported similar issue after the airbag recall, including myself. I did a reset 2 months ago and it hasn't come back since, will keep an eye on it. IMO these issues must have something to do with the recall, I just can't prove it myself. I feel bad for whoever paid the dealership to fix these post-recall issues.

Everyone should just report this to the BBB. Once there is a good enough numbers, Infiniti Corporate will notice it and do something about it.

Do it at the BBB website.

Good idea jibber. Seems like a scam on Infiniti's part if we can report multiple people that have had a similar experience. However, I would feel like an azz if indeed there is something wrong with my airbag system but the light just decided not to come on any more.

The reset should just erase the code in SRS, I'm sure if you try disconnecting a sensor or even an airbag module the light will come right back on. If the light doesn't work then it'll be Infiniti's job to fix it.

My SRS started flashing last night on my '03 Sedan. After research here and on Infiniti website, I called the dealership to ask about it. Dealership says there is a recall, titled campaign PO 339, and that they will repair it for free. They say it'll take about an hour to an hour and half.

Ha, I was wondering about this.... Got the call from infiniti just the other day regarding the recall.

Debating if I am going to take it in.. I previously took my car in for the rear window TBS, screws being too long. They claimed they fixed it, I doubt it as the noise is exactly the same, so my trust is very little. Should I do the SRS recall?
