Hi Everyone,

I'm Dustin and I found my way here through Google. My wife and I are going to be purchasing a new car (used but, new to us ) in the next couple of months and after a lot of pretty good research and dealership visits I believe we've got it narrowed down to a G35 sedan of some sort.

I'm looking forward to doing some more research here, looking up common issues with them and of course performance tweaks that can be made. We haven't fully decided on whether we want to go with a first gen or second gen yet. We like the idea of getting a certified pre-owned 2007 or 2008 with low miles and having some left over factory warranty but, then I figure I can buy something a bit older with some more miles and keep the monthly payment low but, leave room for ... "upgrades"

I really like the 2007/8 Sport sedan with the paddle shifters but, that may be a lot more of a want than a need at this point. So we will see. That's it, just wanted to drop in, say hi and let everyone know I'm here

Welcome Dhatacher...if you end up going with the second gen-I'd shoot for an 08 with low miles. There are 3 things I miss when I get a base G loaner (my sport seats, eletronic adjustable steering column & back up camera) everything else I think I can live without. O.k. wait, navi is awesome too. Happy shopping!!!
