Honda guy walking into a new world....

Hello all, As the title says I'm more Honda driven but my wife has had an obsession with the G35 for quite some time so we sold her prelude to buy one..

We are actually picking it up tomorrow after the check is cut for the seller, its an 03 6spd w/ 82k on it. Coming from a guy who drives a fwd civic that is built up to just under 200hp this thing is definately a change of pace. I'm in love with the car although the concept of rwd, different lug patterns and overall just being much different than I'm used to can be challenging to get used too..

Then again, thats why I'm here. I hope to pick up the basics and maybe learn a thing or two by hovering the board for a while!

Thanks. fortunately the previous owner babied this car and audio/rims are already done. I have read about the issues with the Bose headunit going bad and was happy to see it gone already.

nice although i think someone had fun with this car previously. i would always be wary of modded cars but hopefully it wasnt beat on. you are going to have fun with rwd!

I'm honest enough to admit that I don't wanna turn off the traction control. lol

And I did think about that being it was modded but the guy seemed pretty level headed, and when I checked the carfax the car had been maintained very well. There were countless service records for brake inspections, and suspension lubrication and so on.

Thateguhate, Welcome to DRIVER! I never understood this attitude....^....since when do modded cars get "beat on?" With the cost of our mods they become too expensive to tear up....the addition of rims isn't really a mod by comparison. Once or twice around the block and you'll get used to the RWD, it's just a different feel....your front tires won't squeal when you take off! lmao The price was good, hopefully it came with service records which is always a plus. Good Luck!
Gary

I'm afraid I might even want my own eventually. It would be hard to part from my project car though.

Nice pick up indeed - great price for a clean, low mile 03 G.

Baby her and she'll treat you well. The lady AND the car.

Enjoy the forums - lots of great information here for sure.
