Figured I'd introduce myself.
Figured I'd introduce myself.
Hello all. Name is Johnny. Thought I should be a part of this community as well since I'm on various other forums.
I'm a moderator over on Zilvia.net. I'm an S-chassis nut (I've owned more than 30 S13/S14's, haha).
Enjoy working on cars and helping friends work on theirs.
I've had a ton of different "projects" over the years, but this is my main Project S13:

My second car. Bought it 100% bone stock from the original owner with 40,000 miles after my first car was destroyed.

(Ignore the lame painted interior pieces. Twas years ago)

Taxi cab decided he should run a red light going roughly 50mph and used my car to slow himself down. Douche almost killed me. I was definitely lucky to have survived that, let alone walk away from it.
Moving on. I have a lot of things I'm in the process of taking care of with my Project S13. New everything (pretty much). All new suspension, wheels, brakes, stitch welding entire chassis, paint, KA-T, wire tuck done properly, etc. Haven't had time to work on it since I've been too busy taking care of other things, but I should be getting back on it soon.
New shoes: (Last brand new set of 17/18 stagger VS-XX now that 17" VS-XX have been discontinued)

Stripping the interior prepping for paint:

Test fitting my cage and a few other pieces:

A small fraction of the massive amount of parts I have:

I was extremely close to buying a Z33/G35 a year and a half ago, but decided at my age insurance would suck and I'd be too tempted to modify it. So, picked up this little 4-cylinder daily.

Picked it up in stock form as well. Threw on a few little things because sometimes I can't resist. Might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it definitely works for me. Insurance is dirt cheap, I save a ton of money on gas, and maintenance is cheap/easy.
I work with Jspec (Jspec.com). I also worked with Angry Panda Fabrication when they were still around (best known for fixing the infamous "Ruined Z").
Most of you remember it as this:

I remember it best as this:

Haha.
Like I said, I'm an S-chassis nut. I saw this little gem pop up over a year ago and had to buy it. Again, picked it up in stock form and did the rest to it. Bought it for my older brother considering he had an ugly beater prior to this.

Got a ton of plans for this car as well (Already have full JDM OEM aero for it, Reinhard exhaust, Dmax roof spoiler to replace the current one, and more suspension bits).
Enough about me and my stuff. Hah.

Belongs to Rubicant on My350z. Not sure if Brian is on here or not.
City MPG is great as well. With combined city and hwy, I always get over 380 to a full tank. I don't have a heavy foot and I try my best to keep all maintenance up to date. The car will definitely save me money in the long run, especially with these insane gas prices.
