Question New Here

So yesterday i went and checked out a g35 with my dad. He already owns one and loves it. I was looking at an 04 g35x 6speed. The only worry i have is that the mileage is 122k. I know not if its highway or otherwise, but i dont want to gather the cash and get screwed over. Any thoughts before i go through with buying what otherwise looks to be a beautiful machine that i would love for years to come?

11,995 which includes tax tags and title we havent actually talked price yet though. I'm 17 and dont know a ton about cars yet, but my dad is teaching me and he loves his G35. I just dont know how much i want to push them because im only able to get it because the dealer is my aunts friend. So i dont want to make them made and lose the chance

If your dad already has one I wld assume he knows what to look for structurally when buying one of these cars. $12K sounds ok for pricing so long as the car runs well has been maintained properly. Always check the carfax of course and ask for the maintenance records if the carfax doesn't show it. Lastly, do a REAL test drive with it and listen for any weird sounds while driving. Take your dads G for a drive right b4 so you can get a good idea of what the car your buying should sound and feel like. If all else fails always take a mechanic with you to look her over. Good luck with purchase.

yea he was also a mechanic so he knows what to look for overall, but his is currently not running hes in the process of engine swapping to the corvette engine he just got. His engine blew so he had no choice. I was mainly worried about mileage because he did say its high, but he would still do it. We just have to test drive. I appreciate all the input though and i look forward to hopefully getting it.

There were no 6speed X models.

As far as the price goes it could be better. I probably wouldn't pay more than 11k including everything. And that would be top dollar if the car was CLEAN.
