Hello all.

Been lurking and reading (and buying) so I thought I'd introduce myself.

Picked up my 2005 G35X about a month ago. I do a lot of highway driving and needed something comfortable, safe and good on the open road - hadn't really considered an Infiniti but I took the X for a drive and loved it - it has 48K miles and I picked it up for 14K. Here she is;



Not planning on a lot of mods - I've installed a trunk lip and last week I ordered the Ionic front spoiler - it should be here Wednesday. Aside from that it's just been catching up with some maintenance items (new belts, fluid changes etc.).

OK - back to lurker mode .

 

lol at the lurker mode. glad to see your keeping up on the maintenance and not just putting all your money in to mods. welcome btw.

I prefer to buy used cars over new, so I've gotten used to catching up on maintenance and/or performing maintenance that I'm not sure has been done. Not used to a car needing belts at 48K, but they were toast (noisy and frayed). I also changed out the cabin filter and installed a K&N in the stock airbox.

The dealer put four new tires on when they put it on the lot - but they are some weird brand (Dimax?) so replacing them with good quality rubber is next on my list. Currently on the hunt for a set of the OEM 18 sport sedan wheels...
