Finally able to post.. Got my confirmation email like 2 weeks after signing up. Anyway, just picked up a DG '06 G35 Sedan (6mt) with ~ 115,000 miles on it. One owner with no accidents carfax, great condition for the mileage. Located in TX, and interested in performance mods more than anything. Anyway, here's a gallery of the car:

Welcome, Looks like a very very nice car for 115k!

Just wondering if that's a door ding in the rear drivers side door? If so my only one like yours is in the exact same place.

What are you plans for mods?

Ahh, I didn't notice it that much before, but I took some pics. What has been seen cannot be unseen. -_- haha, it bugs me now. I'll have to somehow work it into whatever my first claim will have to be (knocks on wood). Pics of dent below.

mods.. Idk I was thinking of tackling intake first: MREV2 --> Kinetix V+ upper --> custom intake with 3" MAF
then exhaust: Kinetix HFCs --> some brand of cat-back exhaust.. haven't decided
then tune, etc..

I was also looking at suspension, ie BC Racing coils seem to have a good rap on the forums.

Wheels.. I was looking at the Miro 111 (machined silver) or the Vossen CV2 in silver

ah! I want the Tanabe T70082, and depending on how loud that is with HFCs, may possibly get the motordyne XYZ (resonated).

Hope you get that fix fast. You might be able to do that yourself. Just pull off the door panel and heat up that one spot and push it out.

Oops sorry I said something about it then
I would think a pdr guy could take that out for not much, or like said you could always try yourself.

Those mods are definitely a good start! MREV and spacer make quite the difference after 3300 rpm. I'm going to have to keep modding so you don't catch up lol.

I would think HFC with tanabe would be pretty nice and not too loud.

I've been off to a late start.. haha. The other day I removed the stock muffler (2 bolts and a hanger) to get a feel of how the exhaust will sound. Needless to say, it sounds amazing! I've left it off for now.. Yesterday I went out and bought a new low-pro hydraulic jack and craftsman toolbox. Changed the oil with Penzoil Ultra 5W-30 and a Bosch premium filter. About to order 6 NGK Iridium IXs since they seem sworn by on the forum...

Great looking car, pretty much what I would like to trade my 03 sedan in for. Would you mind pm'ing me what you paid for it, just as kind of a reference point?

Question

*QUESTION*
I ordered new NGK Iridium IXs as preventative maintenance, as I have no idea when they were last changed. I changed the oil recently, and it was noticeably low when checking it before I drained. I researched about the seals being bad around the sparkplugs, and am interested in the R&D deal where they sell pre-modified covers, and you send in your cores for $250, then a $100 refund once the cores are received. I'm obviously out of waranty, so I'm about to jump the gun on this, so I can do it all at once and not have to worry about it. Anyone disagree? I'd rather them do the drilling, not me.

Of course. To prevent others asking the same, I'll just openly say what I paid. Asking price was $10,900, which is what grabbed my attention, I couldn't believe it. After all the fees associated with buying from a dealer, the final price was $12,900 which included brand new tires. It was talked down to $12,500 out the door. Done.

When checked, it was low before I drained it about a week ago. Unsure about the amount it was lacking. As posted above ^^^, contemplating about replacing the valve cover gaskets and spark plug seals while i'm replacing the spark plugs. Already bought a new PCV valve, and building up an oil catch can setup as we speak.
