Proud Owner of a g35 >Car Newb<
Hey guys,
Just wanted to take the time to introduce myself. I've been wanting a RWD vehicle for sometime, and after I came back from my deployment I had saved up enough for a good down payment on either an S2000, or a G35. I've been wanting a S2000 since high school, but I sprung for a 2004 Laser Red AT (I learned on MT, but I need my wife to be able to drive it if I get deployed again so I took one for the team =/). I'm glad I did
I don't know much about cars, I know some basics but I haven't done much on my own. I just wash my car, get it's regular maintenance and be on my merry way. But I want to take it a step further, and i'm hoping to gather some knowledge from this fine community.

I'm currently browsing the classifieds for some 20's, not sure if I wanna save up and go for some nice imported rims ($2k-3k) or just go for some XXR's. Definitely wanna go with some low offsets and maybe push an aggressive stance once I get more money. Looking at getting gold w/ chrome lip colors, if I get XXR's i'll probably get the 006 in black/chrome and just powder the black to gold.
I'm also shopping for some suspension mods to get it a bit lower. Once again i'm contemplating to go the cost effective route w/ just springs or go for the gusto w/ a set of coil overs.

well just keep in mind what your goal is in the long term. if you want low offset wheels which usually includes a sick stance to go along with it then you will prolly need more then springs. but just search around on the forums and look through the progression threads as well, show you how long it takes to get these cars done some times. best of luck to you on your future mods!
