Mods: sorry if this is in wrong section if it is in advance!
Hey guys, just wanted to introduce myself since I have received a lot of help through this forum especially when I was looking to purchase my car. I hope to learn a lot and hopefully when I am knowledgable enough about certain issues be able to give a helping hand as well. Long story short I am 22, back in school after taking a 2 year break (just worked and played, sti stock turbo 340awhp/390awtq were my best numbers on a dynapack) , sold my toys and hoping to trade them in for a degree and a certification or two. I currently had a great opportunity to purchase a new car since my TL after 200k miles had the transmission fail. With a new part-time job pickup. I decided to grab this as a gift to keep motivated. I believe I have a 05 ob/graphite with 59kmiles, 6speed, 18"cpe, premium package (did the key trick), no sport package (no orange stitching on wheel), but sport suspension?? (Not positive but have red shocks if someone could help me that would be great ). Anyways I wanted to know if you guys could tell anything else, cuz I would really love to know if I could somehow figure out if I have vlsd or any other cool options. But thanks for just reading my boring story, hopefully ill have some sort of mods soon and will be able to make some progress towards the sick beasts I see on here.
Current mods:
Diode dynamics LEDs interior, reverse, city
Future goals:
Nismo kit
Kinetix v+ plenum
Megan cat back
Hfc (unsure of which yet)
19" rays
Coilovers (not sure which)
Debadge mt Fiji and fill trunk

Easy way to see if you have a VLSD is jack the rear up and grab one wheel and spin it in any direction the other wheel will turn the opposite direction. If the other wheel doesnt spin at all you have an open diff.
Or just launch the car lol
2 wheels spin and leave 2 tread marks= VLSD one wheel spins only one tread mark = open diff

But if your 6MT you have a VLSD thats just how they came

The plans sound good so far i would look into springs or entry level coil overs before the wheels.

Decide what direction you want all looks, performance, a combo, etc..... It will save you tons of money in unnecessary mods.

and red shocks= sport

You should, it's a package standard on 6mt's. 2005 6mt = 18" sport wheels, 235/45R18 tires, sport tuned suspension and vlsd.
I'm curios about something too, does it have titanium interior trim?

I am not positive if it is titanium but it looks like brushed aluminum to me. Either way I know it's not plastic but thank you for all the help and loving every new thing I learn about my car thanks guys. And here is a picture of the interior so you guys get the idea

Hey nice car !! I have exactly the same one ! '05 6MT, you probably have the REVUP engine too, with the little "REV" light in the dash, above the OEM shift light (Did you know about that one ehh?).

I would add tinted windows to your mods, looks much better IMO.

Looks nice I would suggest a kinetix v+ plenum instead of the spacer in the future mods its not too much more expensive than the spacer. I have one and the Megan racing exhaust as well and I love it
It's all up to you and personal preference though.
Also I have a set of 19 rays and I love them!!

Thanks for all the great comments! I will definitely look into the other spacer and yeah thinking about tint but have had so many tint tickets on my m3 still debating whether I mind paying fines or want to put more mods in. As for the rev up motor I found that out on this forum as well and was a pleasant surprise . Thanks again for all the replies and hope to be able to throw a couple mods in once the weather gets warmer

You can always do a lighter tint instead of a super dark tent.

Yeah, lol that's what I'm mainly debating. I personally love dark tint and so my debate is whether or not I should do legal tint or to just do what I personally think is the minimum which would be 35% all around. I am debating 50% front 35 rear and 20 for side windows and back but if I get a ticket for my rear windshield i would be more angry than the front windows being 35 so still debating.

Welcome. Nice pick up! Look forward to seeing your progress. If you get the coupe 19's and get rid of those 18's, ill take them off you for a fair price.

with this mod I would not need a port polish my plenum and also will not need the spacer correct? just wanted to make sure since i know i saw some people with new upper plenums and spacers as well together, but they could not fit their orginial cover? I read up on the kinetix v+ plenum and it fits with cover so just a little confused on if they were using spacers or another type of plenum. Thanks for all the help once again!

The kinetix v+ is a new top plenum that gives the car the the same if not better power. You could match that up with a spacer if you'd like but I would suggest doing some research first.
As far as the engine cover it won't fit. The 350z engine cover fits with some mild trimming, or a ton of trimming if your fan is belt driven.

Sounds good. The wheels have some rashes (bought the vehicle used like this) but if I find a good pair of 19s will definitely let you know first.
