New to Nissans in general (NY)
New to Nissans in general (NY)
Recently acquired an 04 35 coupe. Already started playing around with it since I had in in the three months. I've been doing a lot of searching online but find it hard to find any ACTUAL after market parts for these cars. I guess with the popularity increasing it won't be hard for me to find parts in the coming months.
I actually have seen a few G's featured in Modified Magazine and often times in the credits G35Driver was mentioned, I guess curiousity got the best of me.
This is just the beginning for me. I'm brand new to Nissan a a whole. I started out with a bone stock Mazda, then dumped the transmission and got into a IS350 and then blew the timing chain, shortly after that got myself into an 05 Kia Spectra which I successfully boosted and ran for a few years. Yes I've already had enough people do double takes, so you might as well just re-read that sentence lol. From there when I swapped motors I blew a rod and sold the car turbo and all.
Used the insurance money for a down payment for an 08 Lancer which I had started to mod with all the usual goodies and shortly after getting comfy I got into a wreck with frame damage. Fortunately that's going to be coming back as either a winter car with no mods or it'll be my another show field car and get more body work done.
In the interim I snatched up a perfectly good S13 with the intentions of making a drift car after my Lancer came back to me. Although I quickl ran into issues structurally that needed to be attended to. Frame rails, floor panels, everything needed replaced. I set out on the daunting task, and just as I was certain that I would be borrowing my fiance's car for the next few months I spotted this gem of a car in NJ. With only 52K on the clock I snatched it up and started playing around. I lucked out that the previous owner baby'd the car the interior and exterior was immaculate.
Since then it's had a body kit, HKS full exhaust, and some tint done. I wouldn't consider LED light strips a mod as much as an accent, but other than that I'm setting money aside for the real treat, air ride.
I'll set up some pictures later on in the next week or so once the weather is a bit nicer.
Hoping to meet up with some other fellow G owners in the Hudson Valley. I've yet to see even one modified G in my area. Rather unfortunate really, maybe they all just hang out together.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

Welcome to the family. We have a nice vendor classified section where you can find an endless choice of mods for the G so when you get a chance spend some time in there looking around. There's also a great thread in the coupe section at the top in the stickies discussing mods for the coupe guys.
Thanks. I've been reading a lot and keeping my head low. Unlike other newbie's I know the Search button exists. Right now it's a matter of aesthetics over power for me. I'm more show than go this year, but eventually if money permits me I'll go the same path as TTrank's car and do a TT install and push some serious whp. In the meantime I don't mind being low and slow lol.
