New Guy with a 6MT Sedan
Either way you go, hellaflush or performance, I would suggest you stay away from taiwanese (and japanese) shocks, like BC. Here is a good primer on shocks:

BTW, Tein and a lot of other popular coilovers are manufactured by Bor-Cuann/BC Racing as well.

I'll probably reconsider wheel widths and offsets... I want to be fairly low, but I still want functionality.
And when I said that I would autocross on occasion, I should've said rarely. I don't really plan on getting into anything serious as of now.
Looks like I've got to do a little more homework on wheel sizing! Thanks guys.

I'm running H&R street performance coilovers and they use a bilstein strut/shock and im actually lower than i want to be in the back with the adjustment perch at the highest setting. Im tucking tire on the OEM coupe 19's on my sedan....
no spacers, i dont like spacers. but i'm not all about hellaflush and all that other nonsense either. i autocross my car so if i was using spacers id have to pull my fenders
Sigh, another one goes the way of show instead of go. You might as well have gotten an automatic.
The "gap" exists for a reason. Because of our suspension geometry the tire doesn't camber that much on bump, so it needs some sort of vertical clearance. If you go for the hellaflush look and push out your wheels, your going to lose the little bump travel you have left.
If you intend to run your car that low, I would suggest you at least get some roll center adjusters.

If I wanted a race car, I definitely wouldn't be driving a luxury sedan. Obviously I'm leaning more toward show than go, it's a 4 door boat with leather interior and heated seats.
