Hi, just checking in, bought it last weekend, went looking for something else, but this was on the forecourt and I just fell in love with it. Blew my age and mileage criteria, but was just so clean inside and drove so well, I had to have it.

2005 g35x sedan, metalic blue, cream leather and wood interior, 105,000 miles (gulp)




Some nice surprises inside too, a previous owner had hacked in a garmin 200 navu into top of the dash and fitted an ipod interface into the glove box, check out the pictures.

Time to get an iPod? What are the other cables for? Sat radio?

Things on my todo list.

• Tint windows
• Bluetooth somehow, not sure how yet? Maybe a http://www.parrot.com/usa/products/b...-free-car-kitsParrott kit, not sure if compatible?
• Phone holder - I've always used brodit mounts
• I need to figure out how to use the ipod interface, I've don't own an ipod, maybe this will force me to get one, just not sure if the newer ones are compatible.
• Minor body work touch up is needed
• Investigate a metallic rattle when the car is cold, I suspect a heat shield is loose, seems to be coming form the back of the car, could also be the exhaust
• Hang on this forum

Anyone have any better suggestions or advice, especially for keeping a high miler going?

Oh and before I go, what is this for? Its on the trunk lid.

What's the DIP switch setting on 1-4 on the USA spec?

That thing in the back goes to a flat plastic handle a few inches away. It's to open the trunk from the inside.

These cables seem to come directly out of the center console storage unit, I think they probably come directly from the back of the stereo head unit?

 

No prob. Yours is different than mine. I have 4 dip switches. I probably have a different model. The unit's harness does go to the back of the stock head unit, you're right on that.
