2003 G35 Coupe
new guy..Hello All

Well, first of all, the G35 coup we now have is my wife's car.

I "totaled" her 2002 BMW 330XI E46 at hour 23 of our 24 hour move to FL.
Orient Blue/Black & Tan. It will be salvaged and belong to someone else someday.

full coverage.

She chose a Black (pinstriped) 2003 Infiniti G35 Coup automatic. She found it herself and it was love at first sight. And I'm very proud of her choice. Very nice car. She already likes it better than the BMW, known affectionately as "Hiedi."

I'll mainly be searching this forum for info.

I do have to say, I like the aftermarket support for these vehicles and the HP/engine mods.

I like the support in this forum.

I have a 1999 Mustang Cobra and post under the same name in SVTP..so I totally enjoy and understand the mod thing...The BMW was a dead end in that regard.

Anyway, Hello All.

Shurur & your wife, welcome to Driver! Had to include her since she's lov'in her coupe. Like all new members I suggest you read all the sticky at the top of the coupe page and as many threads as possible concerning future mods and service. New members that come from other cars tend to jump on mods like headers and Borla exhaust, there are far better options! Good Luck, hope she enjoys the ride....Gary

Thanks.

I've already looked into appearance and HP mods and made a spread sheet!!

And I see the G35 is NOT suffering in the header department.

My wife knows already that the car will be modded with or without her consent..sorta...

first "appearance" mods:
Wheel spacers (how much??)
H & R Lowering springs
Headlight covers (don't remember mfgr)
IONIC Front splitter chin spoiler

maybe over-the-top mods/too-muscle/"ghetto" mods
Door visors
Rear window louvers
Painted wheels (Black)

First suspension mods
FLSFC BMR

First performance/HP mods
Stillen auto transmission valve assembly
MREV2 Intake & K&N Filter
Tune: UTEC, E-Manage, UNICHIP

Injected Performance, ConceptZ Performance

I'll be reading..Thanks again..

PS: she hasn't let me drive it yet..go figure.

Shurur, after reading your "Spread Sheet" you really need to spend time doing nothing more than reading all the stickys and posts in the sub forums. You've already spent a grand on mods you don't need/or want for your wife's '04 AT coupe! Educate yourself about the Infiniti G35 and use our Search function if you have questions. Ignore the awards b.s. it means nothing and isn't legit!

GaryC

I haven't spent a penny yet and I am looking at the stickys

I used the search this AM.

I may spend over a year researching and going to Tampa FL car shows...once I move down there in September.

Downloaded the free owners manual already!!!

Also found that a lot of links in the DIY/How-To section (stereo system diagrams..that are probable also in the manual) are busted due to "the move?" I took that to mean the G35driver site moved at some point or got renamed...

I'm more a suspension first guy, but I'd like to give the wife some HP and appearance mods in order to get her addicted;-)

I kinda thought the "achievements" where for entertainment, as I didn't post anything and got wacked.....I'm just trying to have fun.
Maybe my posts are clutter...

Thanks

PS: The most immediate issue is finding an Infiniti "I" for her rear trunk/deck!!
PITA..even salvage yards are looking to sell the whole trunk lid.
I doubt I'll be allowed to remove them...even though that would be the best way to fix that problem...
