new 06 g sedan owner!

I finally upgraded from my 95 maxima to an 06 sedan. Absolutely loving it so far! I figured I would ride stock for a little while but I'm getting anxious about some mods! Wanting to lower about an inch and put some 18s on. I've been reading a lot about the revised 350z suspension swap. Any good ideas for a new sedan owner?

Get everything checked out, drive the car for a while and feel for what YOU want out of it. If you live in a snowy area with lots of pot holes like me YOU're gonna have a bad time if you lower the vehicle. Everyone has their own things that makes their cars their own. Each mod you do to the G is to make it not look like a stock G.

Are there many other G drivers in your area with the same style car? Do you really need that forced induction upgrade? I'm not trying to derail you from modifying your G, but think long and hard before you purchase something you may regret at a later date.

Something simple to upgrade includes the Diode Dynamics LED Bulb replacement system for your interior/license plate lights. These provide more white light and are very reasonably priced.

Good Luck, and Welcome to the forums. Please post up pictures of your G!

Thanks for the advice. i live in the upstate of sc so dont see much snow but some roads down here are horrible as far as the potholes go. i had the maxima lowered on tein springs/tokico shocks and on the g coupe 18s and it was super stiff. im used to dodging the holes and drive the g the same way, just a habbit i guess. ill wait to see what i do first but just wondering what a good setup would be without the rough ride. heres a pic of the new ride

Haha great point, your sedan is just like my last and I enjoyed that car till its end of days. There are many G sedans around me that have blacked out lights on black paint so I figured I stood out as others were the ones who had all the common things to them! Is your new ride the X-Model?

Yeah the blacked out everything seems too comemon these days, too many people doing it imo. I like the DG color with some black accents. My g is the rwd version. Figured I would have some more options with the rwd instead of the X and maybe less maintenance. I plan to tint the windows this week.I've got to tint all my rides windows and also the heat is brutal down here! hope to get some black wheels sooner than later. Any suggestions on wheels and tires under a grand?

So I finally had time to get the tint done 15% and loving it. For some reason previous owner had the wind visor on the sunroof and had to get it off asap. After taking it off noticed the scratches under the rubber molding and was very disappointed. I tried my best to buff it all out. It helped but its too far gone to get it looking perfect. Wondering if I should put it back on but really don't want to. The wheels are also pretty rough with curb rash and was wondering if I should powdercoat them. I work with a company that does powdercoating so I could get it done for free. I know a lot of people aren't fans of the black stock wheels but any suggestions?have a 6 month old so can't drop a couple grand on wheels and tires at the moment
