Smile New 06 G35 Owner!

Just bought my 2006 G35 yesterday! I've been looking to buy a new car for a while, and really took to the G35s in the past few months. Thanks to all the helpful forums here which gave me a great insight to this beautiful car.

Upon buying it, I took it on a joyride around Lucas, Texas on some beautiful roads during the sunset, then subsequently took this picture. It was real smooth drive back home to Houston, though I wish there would have been less traffic and I could've had some real fun. Sometime I'll have to really test the speed on highway 14. Until then I'll have to settle with the Westpark Tollway. If anyone else knows any other scenic and great roads in Texas, let me know.

I had few questions on installing the aux/bluetooth to the stereo. I've seen instructions, recommendations, and options all over this forum. The following links are the hookups that I'm considering getting:

Amazon.com: iSimple ISNI531 Automotive Dual Auxiliary Input Kit for Select Nissan and Infiniti Vehicles: Car Electronics Amazon.com: iSimple ISNI531 Automotive Dual Auxiliary Input Kit for Select Nissan and Infiniti Vehicles: Car Electronics

Amazon.com: iSimple ISFM21 TranzIt Universal Bluetooth Enabled FM Transmitter Car Kit for Android Devices, Blue: Electronics Amazon.com: iSimple ISFM21 TranzIt Universal Bluetooth Enabled FM Transmitter Car Kit for Android Devices, Blue: Electronics

My questions are:

1. I've read a few reviews saying that SAT is required to install this. My dashboard has an "RPT/CAT" option instead. Will this still work with it?

2. Is it really as easy as people say it is to install? I'm still considering getting a professional to install it in case it takes me a whole afternoon and potentially screwing something up.

3. Will the controls on my steering wheel work through bluetooth/usb connection to my android phone? This is not a dealbreaker for me but would be extremely awesome of iSimple made this work. I have read other reviews and discovered that similar (but more expensive) devices made this work.

Anyway, just wanted to stop in and say hi. I freaking LOVE my new car and I'll enjoy talking with other G35 owners on this forum.

1. Just because it says Car/Sat/fat doesn't mean it has satellite. Look in the back of your trunk on the drivers trunk near the spare tire. There should be a unit there and you need to look for a bare while plug.

2. Very simple.

3. Yup

This is the location for a coupe. The 06 sedan sat unit (and BT phone receiver) are in the trunk on the underside of the parcel shelf on the passenger side. If you have a sat tuner in the car you should be able to tune in channel one from the head unit. If not, it is still prewired and the plug will be there. You have to remove the trunk finisher to access. Download the factory service manual from nico.com.
