I have a 2006 g35 sedan and just got a sound system hooked up but my hot wire melted to my muffler and now it wont crank someone please help

Dont have pics but the hot wire melted on the muffler and car cut off on highway it only turns over and won't crank the hot wire is connected to the battery for the amps in my trunk could it be electric or a fuse

I'm not overly familiar with the fuse set up on G's, but the copper wire touching the metal on your muffler will cause a short and could cause a fuse to pop.

Disconnect the amp hot wire from your battery and see if your car will start.

If not, check the fuses and leave the amp hot wire disconnected.

Also, not a good idea IMO to run your hot wire under the car, it should be routed through your firewall, then through your interior to the trunk.

You ran 4 gauge wire under the car instead of through it? So I think your saying your issue is that your battery wires aren't completing a circuit.

Buy new wire and run it the correct way under the back seat.

It was 0 guage and the shop did it not me

Will try tomorrow the shop ran a o guage hot wire under the car I dont know why under the car but they are gonna have to fix it.

I've never seen a legitimate stereo installer run any wires underneath a vehicle. I would take it back and have them do it the right way.
