Just got a 2007 G35x :3
Thought I would make a post to say hello and tell about my recent purchase. I've been testing driving cars around the $10k-12k range. The ones I've test drove up to my final choice was a 2006 g35 coupe, 2004 GTO, 2008 Mazda 6 v6, 2006 Acura TL. I loved the g35 coupe but it had 93k miles and 2 of my coworkers say they don't like them for winters here in Kansas. I saw this 2007 Infiniti g35x(AWD) sedan with almost 79,000 miles.
They had the price at $16,999 and I told this sales woman I didn't want to spend over $14,000. She told me she will get it to a price I will buy it at and had me test drive it. I like the feeling of it, the steering and gas pedal is heavier than the 2006 g35 coupe, breaking gripped a little faster too. Could just be the difference between those two specific cars and not a generalization etc.
She was new at the place, I was her 2nd sale. She wasted over an hour going in and out rooms and coming back to me, she never got below $15,300. I was walking out the door then this guy came out saying it sounded like those people did not want to sale me a car but he did, handed me papers with $14,000 and I signed
. I'm really happy with it, perfect size for me. This is coming from a 2001 Grand Am Coupe.
TLDR: Got a 2007 G35x 79,000 miles.

Here's the carfax.

Single owner, interior is super clean, way better shape than if I was the owner. KBB was around 16,600 and carfax had the car worth $650 more than average value so I think walking out with it at $14,000 is good. He said it was near the end of the month and I had $2,000 to put down then.
Kind of curious what it would look like with a darkened grill and wheels. Maybe get some plastidip action going just for fun.

Thats a good price congrats! I bought my 08 with 72k for 17k on thursday, id say you did well. I did however buy it the first day it was for sale at the dealership lol and its an S. They also got me a ridic apr for my age/credit/and year of car.
Thanks, I've been loving it more and more. I recently found out the magic of DS mode, pretty fun for an auto
Just been looking up what brands to get for general parts tires, breaks, oil, etc. Thankfully everything looks fairly new as far as pads, tires and the oil is clean. So far the only thing I've done is buy a plastic chest and velcroed it to the bottom of the trunk to hold my bigger jack, jumper, cables, and compressor. I didn't feel comfortable having them flop around everywhere like in my GrandAm.
