Hello,
New member. From Berkeley CA. Now living in Knoxville TN.

Cars:
2007 Infiniti G35 6MT Coupe, Pearl White. Stock except Injen Intake and K&N.
1963 Alfa Romeo Giulia Spider.
1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Spider Veloce.
1982 Alfa Romeo GTV-6 3.0L.
1984 Alfa Romeo GTV-6 Maratona.
1963 International Scout Prototype.
Invader 125cc (Rotax) Laydown Shifter Kart

I have owned some MAD vehicles 1970 Datsun 240Z with a Chevy LT1 350 V8 from a '70 Camaro, I had a 1972 Mazda RX2 (Fun!). 1977 Alfa Romeo Alfetta GT SCCA car (Fun but slower than 2.0L 911). I raced a coffin-style laydown 125cc Shifter Kart for a couple of years which was a dangerous game (People got hurt bad!). Big blocks, small blocks, Fords, Chevy's, imports, sports cars... too many more to list.
This is my second G35 Coupe. First was a 2005 6MT. These are the most modern cars I have owned and what I drive daily. One of the best driver's cars I have owned.
I want to do some tuning on my 07 Coupe. I removed the engine cover and stock intake assembly and installed an Injen intake and K&N. My G runs hard when it's cold then not so hard when it warms up. Gas mileage is so-so. I want to wake this thing up without destroying economy completely. I had a 70 Chevy Monte Carlo SS 454 MT that got about 5mpg. Couldn't afford to feed it. Ran on Avgas or Trick. Getting on the freeway used more gas than I liked but was pretty cool otherwise...
I don't want to turn my Coupe into a monster. Just a well-tuned machine. I hope I can find a few answers here.

Thanks!

Get an osiris tune. Will wake it up and give you an economy mode too. Check out seymore4 he is a member here. He will tune you up. You guys have to ride the Dragon. Its a fun ride so close to Knoxville. I have family in Powell Tenn. I will be down June 12th. Going to tame the Dragon with my X!

Not a lot of flaws in terms of performance from the factory. You can get the motordyne 5/16 plenum spacer, you've got the intake, you can do exhaust and tune and that should yeild a few ponies and probably even improve your mpg after tune. That's really about it tho. Its not like old Chevy's where you could buy just about every piece of the engine in the aftermarket and net good gains.
