Looking to Build a Sleeper

Hey guys,
I've had an '06 G35 Sedan for several years now and have been using it as a daily driver. It had 55k miles when I got it in 2011 and I have run it up to ~101k miles. I've gotten to a point in my life where I feel comfortable modding my car. Over the next few years I'm looking to turn my G into a sleeper that I can take to my local track and be competitive with. I've been doing some research and I was wondering what you guys would recommend for a sleeper.

Turbo, supercharger, engine swap or only racing cars that you know you have a chance beating.

Complete suspension overhaul, lightweight race proven wheels, hella sticky tires, Lotsa chassis bracing, lightweight drivetrain parts, and an engine swap or SC kit

Engine swap to an LS with forced induction would be pretty much one of the best things you can do. Upgrading the suspension and doing a computer tune would help out a lot if you are trying to keep the stock engine. Hell even just adding Hoosiers (racing slicks) will hella help you out. Theres a guy out here in the bay area with a AT Coupe that goes out to the runs and he only has a few bolt ons and some racing slicks and he's taking out 5.0's.

I am thinking the same, once I have a new car, I want to go nutz on the G. I sent an email to Bailey's Hyperformance in Saganaw TX, this is what I got back.

Thank you for contacting us about your future build. We have several options for the swap and a lot of our builds are more along the lines of a tailored build. The average build runs around 15,000. We have upgrade options such as: engine harnesses, air conditioning, transmission, engine, clutch, and gauges. We like to have a consultation when we do these types of builds. The swap is basically re designing the car and is a major investment so we want to assure that you get the car your wanting.

Please ask as many questions as you can and I will be here to help you with all of them.

Thank you

This is something I have wanted to do for a while. Can you give me some ball park figures on what it would cost if I just bring you the car and you do a turn key install?

Thanks,

William
